Do yourself a favour and fit a ST162 intake manifold before you cook the engine lol.

I now use one of them and it doesn't flow evenly either. It's better than the stock 3sgte manifold though it isn't perfect

IIRC, it doesn't take much to make the throttle adapt to it, does it?

I ended up using a 3sge throttle body. It was too much hassle to get the 3sgte one working

Thanks for the advice guys. So what's the issue with stock manifold- uneven distribution? Is it too much air into the central cylinder, less to the outer pair? I may be stuck with making do for a while

Does the ST205 engine use the same manifold?
Do we get more clearance using the ST162 intake manifold?  My engine is a bit tight in my AW11.

How was this confirmed?  Flow bench, air fuel ratios?
What Toyota uses the ST162 intake manifold?

Hi Richard,

The ST162 side feed manifold won't bolt on to the gen3 3sgte head. You could use a Caldina ST215 side feed inlet manifold though which a few people have done.
