Did you look into that possible fake pipe on your exhaust?

I would like to see a photo, the idea of a commodore exhaust on a MR2 sounds funny

Well I can't confirm if it actually is a commodore exhaust, but I CAN confirm it's rusty, crap, and not necessarily the best design for flow!

I think those side skirts look the part on the MR2.

Yeah it looks like that hard bend coming off the b-pipe would kill the flow, let me know if you want an aftermarket exhaust I have a HKS Super Drager and Motoria Twin Exit.

Was planning on looking for something twin-pipe soon (much prefer the look, even if there's a weight difference), pm me some info if you have something.
cheers

So, latest efforts include a sand/respray and buff of the flaky rear wing. Short story is I spent about half of last weeknd doing it, and really I think I'd best stick to my day job. Didn't thin the clearcoat out enough, so it ended up lumpy and ****e. Will resand and respray at some stage. Oh well, live and learn.
BC racing coilovers worked a treat at Wakefield, definite recommend now by me.

I love that colour.. And yeah, first time round respraying never goes well lol, but once you get the hang of it you find yourself painting all parts of the car until the whole car is nearly resprayed haha, well that's what happened with me. Did you respray it under cover? And that exhaust is hilarious!

Thanks dude, don't see many in the grey.
Yeah I took all the precautions with the respray, apart from actually knowing what I was doing! Thought the wing would be an easy start (compared to front bumper, side skirts or mirrors).
I think I could frame a pic of the exhaust and title it "What was he thinking?" but then a pic of my respray might be just as good! Planning on fixing both soon...

Instead of respraying mine I am replacing certain panels and painting the roof (if I spent more then I paid for the car on a respray I would be way to frantic on where I park it and stuff). But as you stated it isn't a common colour, as red is lol.

Did you end up getting it on the dyno?

Yeah, dyno done early on (see here), max 185 rwhp at about 10psi (couldn't keep it up to the 12!). With new intake & better boost in place, and upcoming exhaust I reckon its good for 400 lol
Well, maybe 220, will post when I get it done

Upgrade update:
Plenty happenning over the next little while (no sick-as stickers though lol!)
-Work wheels & Federal RSR rubber (thanks Dylmrt)
-3" Berk downpipe & twin exhaust to get things flowing (ditto)
-Getting the BOV plumbed back to keep the air in the system
-And a bit of a speccy - hi-flowed CT26 from dwyer125, hopefully the hiflow job is an effective one, the clipping may make things a little laggy but should be able to produce more hi rpm boost than my poor old stock ceramic CT26, even if it's just from me daring a bit more boost (the steel compresser wheel aint gonna shatter!) At least that's what I'm hoping! Will try and get a dyno chart before/after to see the difference.
All in all, should give me plenty of smiles for a while.

Exhaust & turbo going in this week, can't wait for the dyno results. And since it's pretty much compulsory to get an exhaust note video up on youtube, I will do so
Meanwhile, front bar respray is done - getting better at it but still no pro! Looks good from a distance at least, and way better than it was.

Weird - your colour is so very different to mine. Looks so much more silver/grey.
Whats the paint code on it?
