Bi-Tron Engine Treatment (Discussion)

Has anyone had any dealing with using this product? Comments, reviews, problems etc.  Thought I would post as it could be quite a good discussion.  Have used for quite some time now and think its good, yet have no quantifiable evidence to support anything - other than my engine doesn't miss a beat, runs great, very clean under the rocker cover etc - but whether that is a contributing factor who knows.

The EP20 Engine treatment cost from memory about $245 for 5lts.  Readily available, the first treatment is at 20% of the engine oil capacity (eg - oil capacity is 4lts = 800mls of treatment inclusive), every treatment thereafter is at 10%.
All specs / details can be found here.

I think using a good quality fully synthetic oil, eliminates the need for those products. But if it works for you keep using it!

"because with the increased temperature there will be an increase in negative charge which attracts more of the positively charged Bitron."

yet have no quantifiable evidence to support anything

... and this is exactly what these type of products depend on for success.  Blind faith in the absence of any credible evidence.

My experience has been that modern engines run with modern oils under 'normal' conditions, from a wear perspective, will outlast the rest of the car.  Non wear and tear related mechanical failures will happen regardless of how good the oil is.  30 years ago, 200,000kms was regarded as a good run for an engine, today it's about half life.

Good synthetic oils DON'T NEED additives, nor will the engine benefit from additives, stick with the blend the oil manufacturers have carefully crafted and delivered to you, ready to go.

I don' tknow if its the same thing but 10-15 years ago there was a product by that name.  It came out of Russia - it was used in very cold conditions they have over there.  It was patented.

If you've seen ads for Magnatec in the last few years that is what it did.  I assume the patent ran out when Castrol Magnatec started being produced.
