AW11 Carbon Fibre Visor

I posted a while ago that I was getting some carbon fibre stuff made up - finally after a few months of trying to find some time to check fitment on a mates car I got around to it today. All that's left to do is epoxy the mounts on and these will be ready to sell - they can be done in just buffed carbon (so a matte finish) but the guy who made them recommends they get finished in a 2 pack clear (will look glossy all the time and protect them from damage). Note - the join in the middle is unfortunately necessary to minimise weave distortion over the raised lettering and was only so noticeable under the camera flash.
$250 + postage (extra $10 if you want them clear coated), will start production this week.

For anybody who is interested, they are 800g lighter than the original clear one.

Can you supply them with the 2 pack clear coat already applied?

Could do it without the join, but the weave wouldn't stay square. To get rid of the lettering would involve a new mould - lots more work. The join is only super noticeable under a bright light and will be less obvious once clearcoated.
I can supply them painted with clear for an extra $10.

As I've already said, to remove the lettering would require a whole new mould. I'm not paying that when I've already sunk a lot of money into having moulds made.
You can paint it whatever colour you want

So uhh, after all the interest that everybody seemed to have this has already dropped off?

I've got hail damage on a number of my panels, and find the lightweight aspect of a carbon fibre replacement appealing (so long as I can paint it white). Will most of the exterior panels be available?

I have to agree with Dom, the join in the fiber and the embossed writing really detracts from the product.

Like I said, once it's painted and on a better photo the join won't be anywhere near as noticeable. The Toyota was originally there (albeit a sticker), the only reason I left it...
I will have a talk and see if there's any way to change them without putting another buttload of money into it.

I have been waiting for a dude called anwar to make these for ages,I think he fell off the earths edge.I agree with the other posters the TOYOTA wording detracts from your product.Remove it and I will buy one as the unsghtly join should go.

Painting CF is a bit of a waste in my books, if you going to paint them, you might as well just make them out of cheaper fiber glass.

You could keep the join in the carbon fibre but lay the cloth the same way rather than mirror image and it would hardly be noticeable.

Was that the Retro Carbon bloke? Made a lot of promises with parts and I never heard from him again - which is why I originally thought to do my own stuff.
