LEAKING ROOF!!!!!
Hey guys,
I have a probably really frequently asked question but I need answer soon.
The weather has decide to add a new water feature in my car and my car seat is now beyond saturated. I have located the leak to be in the join of the targa and drivers window , but i have limited idea of how to stop said leak. I have been tarping it of late (when stationary) and such i have large quantities of rope markings but it still leaks when i drive.
Any ideas tips or fixs please let me know!
Regards Fraser

Going through the same thing myself. Used to get a slight leak in heavy rain, but had a decent puddle the other day. http://www.mr2.com/forums...-tube-help-please.html This is a pretty good thread to read. If its the window thats leaking, apparently it can be adjusted to apply more pressure to the seal.

i ended up replacing all the rubbers around my targa, fixed it for a while but it came back, wasn't as bad as it was before though. You can get them from Two's R Us

I fixed mine by moisturising the seals with silicone gel once a week for a few weeks. That was good enough to get me through last winter. This winter I'm not so sure since the car's been off the road. You can get the lubricant from pool supply stores, it's used for lubricating O-rings.

I use black windscreen silicone to build up between the targa seal and the rubber on the door frame. I must put some more on though, few drips here and there.

I used rubber rejuvenate which basically got rid of the leak but sometimes in torrential rain will still come through.

Just did the co-ax mod on my roof, now it won't rain for me to test it! *Edit Definitely improves the seal, only times I have had a leak are where the car is pointing downhill and it leaked at the back of the hatch.

My car was sitting outside in the rain all day today. I've noticed the passenger side leaks a little every now & then, but today I had a slightly wet drivers seat. Just found this. Went to the website, I thought at $7 would be worth trying. But there is only express shipping for about $54.00 :(. might have to try something else. Reddtarga
This could help to close the gap between the targa and the driver's window. http://twosrus.com/catalo...30&products_id=493

Dam thats expensive for posting them. I brought them a few years ago but it was with a lot of other stuff from them as well. but they worked really well on mine. There was someone doing a group buy from them a couple of weeks ago so if you knew then you could of saved a bit. I would just wait till someone dose another.

Or you could be lucky and someone might have bought a set with their new seals and never needed them. I've got 2 of the guides, which will do one side only. $10 plus postage, but it will be much cheaper than from the states. PM if interested.
