Keyless Entry Module Location?

My sdub has the factory keyless entry (single button remote) and I'm wondering where the control module for this is located.
Looking to install an RFID handsfree setup I've got, and it would be nice if I could just piggyback off the module to save a bit of wiring, but that means finding it. Google hasn't been very helpful on this one.

I'm pretty sure the sensor is nestled in the far left corner of the dash, and the control box is behind/under the glovebox.  Its been a while since I had one apart, so don't quote me :P

Spent ages today pulling apart the interior (I'm installing a bunch of other stuff too, so ripped out everything for access) and looking for the module. Basically pulled out the plugs one by one, seeing whether the remote still worked, working from passenger side to drivers side. Pretty much got to the end, where I find a bloody aftermarket alarm unit hanging below the column!
Dunno how I could have missed that. Its wired pretty dodgy, like most of the stuff done previously. So its getting ripped out, but I'm pretty sure I can patch into it without much extra work, so not a bad outcome really.

The RFID setup I'm using is from AutoLoc, under their handsfree keyless entry (Can't seem to link)
Its based on proximity, so hopefully should just walk up and the doors unlock. It also has outputs to use for immobilisers, so if it works well I might go push start and get rid of the key entirely.

You wont be able to get rid of the key entirely as you need it for a couple of reasons, first for the steering lock and second so you can insure your car.

    Is it this one here:

I have been thinking about doing something like this for a few years, but was thinking about using one of the implant RFID chips :) can't forget it then

Yeah, thats the one. Finished hooking it up to test it tonight, and it works reasonably well. Only annoying thing is once it locks, you need to wait 2 minutes before it will automatically unlock again. You can use the button, but it just seems an unnecessary thing.

I have thought about the issues of eliminating the key, possibly retaining the steering lock functionality through other means. Modern cars come like this, so the concept itself is feasible, but whether its possible to retrofit or whether insurance would like it is another thing. I definitely think a custom setup with multi point immobilisation would be more secure than the stock setup, but at the end of the day if you want insurance you gotta play by their rules.
