I remember that car. My friend did the fibreglass work on it (made both our rear bars). Mine's loosely based on a Toms rear with Border corners moulded in.

That car's a bit unfortunate. Took so long to finish the bodywork, by the time it was done the car was completely out of style....

Well you didnt see the eighties! No one got anything right back then..

I noticed on the dyno sheets when comparing the std plenum to the modified, there was a clearly smoother power curve plus it looked like it didnt drop off at higher rpm.
I will make mine the same. That will be after the Toymod event.

Thanks for your help

No worries B24. The top end was more a product of the turbo than the plenum though. Will be good to see your car producing good power too (perfect all round).

Shane, if mine's a nugget, yours is a black schnitzel without the gravy...hehe

Thanks mate, Im looking forward to it too. Im not after huge power due to reliability concerns so 220kw at 6500-6800/980kg will be a comfortable figure which should keep the gearbox from being removed in the near future and a engine which will last for a few 100hrs at the track.

How many km's have you done with the current set up? How many do you expect before you have to refresh the engine/turbo?

That's a very achievable target. Will need to push the K1 hard though.

I've probably done approx 40,000 since the last build. The way it's being used now, I can see it easily lasting thrice that. Depends on what I do with it though. If/when I go E85, it'll no doubt shorten its life due to the most aggressive tuning & boost levels.

Paradoxical example, he had lots of money, but his sense of taste was no where to be found.

Props for the feature.

Perfect.

You wouldn't happen to have the first pic in hi-res? I would love to use it for my desktop background.
