Club Rego Permits
This could save MR2 owners some $$$ Here is an extract from the latest issue of the Vic club magazine 'Track Record' "Club Permits and Upcoming Events We have a very exciting announcement this month - the MR2 Owners' Club of Australia (VIC) Inc. has been approved to operate under the Club Permit Scheme! Huzzah! We will provide you with more information but to give you a quick summary of what this means: For those whose vehicles are 25 years or older (1987 AW11's and earlier currently) you can be eligible for club permit registration. You can get registration for up to 90 days driving each year for less than $150 (a saving of approx $500 from normal registration) You must be a financial member of the club for your registration to be valid For those of you with 1990 SW20's, you're less than three years away from eligibility! There is more information and requirements but we will let you know once we have nutted them out. If you own a 1987 AW11 or older then email us at info@mr2club.com.au and we will come back to you with more details. **************************** On the back of a great cruise with ten cars and 17 people out to Marysville and Buxton in May thanks to the Harris', we have a busy June and July ahead of us. Check out the upcoming events, the next event is Sunday 24 June partnering with the Toyota Car Club of Australia Vic for their Show 'n Shine at Caribbean Gardens in Scoresby, and then another of our cruises organized by yours truly on Sunday 1 July starting in Rowville. Our Annual General Meeting is held on the evening of Thursday 26 July - keep your eyes on your email for the location and times. This club exists for you and we would love to see you all there to guide the direction of your committee and activities. Start thinking about whether you would like to play a part in a committee role in this club; we need some people to step up into these roles and it's a fantastic opportunity to guide and support the club. Our other upcoming events for the year include a run in the West, an observation/car rally event, a Dyno Day, and our annual Christmas Party! See you on the road..
