Lost Key (with Viper remote)......

Hi Guys and Gals, Love this site, keep up the good work
I recently moved house and cannot for the life of me find my main set of keys(with alarm remote) to my 1990 model SW20
The alarm is an older Viper model. I have a spare set of keys and an alarm remote which the previous owner gave me, but for some reason the second alarm remote will not disable the alarm. I have replaced the battery in the second remote and the green light comes on when pressed but nothing happens. I have searched the internet and have read articles mentioning a valet switch that should be fitted under the dash that will disable the alarm. I have looked under the dash but cannot see any button or switch. So as the alarm has an immobiliser the car is not driveable.
 
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

    The 2nd key sounds like it is not synced with the system. I'd contact the company and ask how to reset or set the 2nd key. 
    My alarm which is different has a button, which had been broken off so I had to buy a button aswell.

    Keep looking for the valet button.  You'll probably have to hold the button down with the door open and the ignition on to override the system. 
    You may have to trace the wires from the alarm module.  Good luck. 
     
    Most auto elecs would be able to disable it but it could be expensive.

    YEAH FIND THE VALET BUTTON.
    look under the dash in the drivers side for a small button/kill switch scenario that should temporarily stop the alarm, an auto elec should easily find it for you if your struggling.

    Great News!! The keys and remote have been found!!! Looking forward to getting out and about in her and joining in on some of the QLD club runs.
     
    Cheers for all of the suggestions. Im stoked to find the keys as there definatyely wasnt a Valet switch fitted when the alarm was installed.

    Great news that you found your keys!!
    My alarm was fitted differently than most and yours may be the same. Instead of a valet switch my car was fitted with a wire that I had to short to the body. It was also installed in the engine bay.
    If I did not know what to look for I would never know it was a valet switch.
    Hope this helps you find the valet disconnect.
