^hahaha love it! Is that Dudeman in the white SW20? Who is in the yellow one? I just watched that vid about 10 times enjoying the 'drifting' by the yellow one, but I was so distracted by the yellow one that I initially failed to notice the hilarious fishtailing by the white one just in front!

Yep the yellow one is me. Was good fun screaming through the last corner, all the while with dudeman doing fishies in front of me. Would've been even better if I joined in with a tank slapper of my own haha. All in all, a truly awesome event! Hats off to Steve for putting the show on. A very ambitious event indeed for someone who had never organised a track day before but you definitely pulled it off. I'm sure you learnt heaps from the experience so future events are only going to be better. Was a pleasure to meet so many good people. Even the "cheaters" aka Evo drivers were top blokes. Very impressed with the first timers. Tri and Ethan went better than I did on my first go so I'm sure you'll be harassing Iain and myself in no time. About the only complaint I have is that the most important photos of the event have not been uploaded yet (i.e. Tree getting punished by the Burger of Death). Eagerly awaiting the next one...

I just watched that vid about 10 times enjoying the 'drifting' by the yellow one, but I was so distracted by the yellow one that I initially failed to notice the hilarious fishtailing by the white one just in front! Ha, it was an exciting moment. GT4 waved me through so I gave it a squirt to get past but then entered the corner way too fast, got on the brakes and had to start to turn... Old semi slicks with unknown number of previous abusers then copped it as the rear came out to the left as I hit the fuel at about 0:16, then hektik drift for two seconds or so as the drift got wider and wider, which was all good and cool but a ripple strip was approaching with a rather solid looking pit land wall behind it. So I did the mr2 no-no and backed off the power a bit too much, so it flicked back to the right pretty hard. But no brakes otherwise that would have completed the rotation and not given gt4 or adrian much room to move. The car pretty well much corrected itself after that - big thanks to East Coast Suspension for that one!! (and the two drivers behind me for being alert for the numpty ahead of them playing slip and slide) I did manage to go about face in that same spot, think Asimovy caught that one on MrPlows gocamerajobbythingy. Fun fun, and no-one lost an eye!

All weights without drivers Weights very depending on NA or turbo, hard top or targa ect Pearl hasnt got much weight reduction yet, some interior stripped (ie carpet and sound deadening) but has much more then that of metal added for the roll cage

I have added some pictures here:- https://www.facebook.com/...17900544103&type=1 (inside Tri's burger too) Add any pictures you have there too. My GoPro footage is meh due to using the wrong back plate :(

The cage will add 50kg at best. Its heavy, but not that heavy. Thats what was calculated when I built mine. The gains in handling provide far more lap time gains than the 50kg it looses. You can gain it back by rewiring the car, ditching the electric power steer or replacing the glass with lexan. End of the day, there are plenty of tricks to get the weight back.Running 16" rims instead of 17" saves at least 15kg all round too. Mine had a full tank and the passenger seat fitted which is not the case 90% of the time. With 15litrs for sprints and no passenger seat it will drop its weight by 45-50kg. Video looks great Admin. Have you been loading it onto the Celica forums? Nice sliding people. Keep it up! Can I ask if people can send testimonials, video and photo's for the MTC site? It will be updated in the next week with a review and final standings. I missed a few trophies due to work load on the Tuesday so will be sending these out to the respective people. Tri will get one for Under 2.2 street and 2nd and 3rd for Circuit. Circuit ended up being the larger class with close competition. If The Pearl didnt miss a round, Travis may have pipped Ken and Andrew would have been a top five finisher. There were some very close results with Adrian and Ian separated by 5 100ths of a second in one round and one point decided 2nd and 3rd. The Pearl and Matsuda were closer with 15 1000's of second in another round. There were a few more too. The one thing I will change at the next meet will be 'updates on points' after every round. Will also solve the timing/point issue we had. Having it all loaded live to the site in real time would be perfect so anyone keen on doing this, the offer is there. Each class will have there own points schedule. It was going to happen this year, but there was miscommunication with the timing crew which created the problem. It did cause some problems which Im very sorry about. It will not happen again. Can everyone let me know (on this thread or via ultimate trackday challenge) a preferred date? The start of the year works for the crew who was there but not everyone and it would be great if everyone could be there. If I can make it a week after or before this years event is the preferred option but happy to discuss other dates.

Everyone pretty much said it all, can’t thank the organisers (especially Steve) enough. There’s about 500MB worth of photos taken by my good friend Victor (thank Ethan’s dad for driving him up the hillclimb). Everyone’s cars had a good picture shot from there. Poor fella is now sunburnt lol. I’ve passed the pictures along to Aaron and Steve for uploads but if you guys aren’t then I will get around to uploading them when I have time. Just got a **** load of summer school homework. I’ve got a couple vids of in car footage as well but neither are very good due to ****ty camera mounting and bad contrast. One of them is decent so I will upload that first. My car was weighted with spare wheel, passenger seat and about 3/5 tank of fuel. A bit heavy in my standards but it is a G-Limited with the extras after all and nothing stripped out. According to Amayama, my weight is spot on (1180kg) Credit must go to Victor for calling Adrian Lewis Hamilton lmaooo (he does actually look like him, from a certain angle). Even same height haha And yeh if you missed out it was a damn shame because it was quite an epic event, especially for our small community which has its merits I suppose (quality over quantity). To get the most out these cars it really needs to be taken on the track. Brendan I think you need to bring your car nek time mate ;) Everyone said not to worry but I definitely learned tyre management as I wanted to maximise tyre life (my only set of roadworthy tyres, set of A048), quite happy the car was strong. Pretty scared first time out but by the end of the 2 days I’d gotten good understanding of my car. Still couldn’t get rid of the understeer on corner exit but there’s only so much you can lower front tyre pressures, as everything else was stock besides beams engine. Great memories shared with great cars but it wouldn’t be near as fun without a great community with is a major factor, including those non MR2 owners. Great to meet the interstaters. It was a bit lonely driving up with only 1 other Victorian group (Ken, Trav, Brendan) so hopefully more next time. It’s obviously a long drive but after a small discussion Wakefield is most central to everyone. Although it would be nice if we could organise something similar at Winton. Definitely had big laughs, we are a funny crew. Was hoping to get more passenger rides in other ppls cars but you can only squezze so much time before 4-5pm Now the Hell burning Ghost Chilli burger… After squeezing all the lemons and dropping all the kids off at the pool, both exits were literally burning. I can’t believe how spicy it was that even my stomach couldn’t breakdown all the capsaicin that even my shlong was full tingling after taking a piss. **** that never again. I was squirming in the cabins after dinner regretting and trying to drink as much milk as I could. And these kents didn’t even have any words of support, on the contrary, all they did was made its worst LOOOL. Thanks guys. Should’ve listened to Steve and bought Mylanta instead of saving $2 for some crappy Quik Eze (more like slow and painful ease).

Oh btw Steve dw about the trophy, it wouldn't be fair since the engine and semi slick tyres aren't "stock". Since I can't get rid of the beams, I guess I'll just have to maximise the mods for "Modified Street Under". But obviously I would rather be in street class if I could :) (AD08 were out of stock)
