That requires having somewhere to park the car up on stands for a day LOL.
Something the landlord doesn't like -_-

I will mention that should you take me up on my offer I take no responsibility for your brakes being swapped out for Gen 2 calipers/rotors.

LOL smartass :P Gen2 were larger as well, it was only Gen1 that had the little brakes :P
Do you have a gear puller or a pitman arm puller? I need one to crack the tie rod end off.

I have both but I can suggest a much more effective method that requires neither.

  1. Find steel manhole cover
  2. Remove entire arm from car
  3. Swing control arm over head striking the thread of the ball joint against the manhole cover
  4. If you haven't left the castle nut on, cover your head as the ball joint will now be falling from a height of 2 - 3m towards you.
Edit: I'm not joking. This works extremely well and is worth the little extra effort of removing the arm from the car. The problem with both the pullers I have is that I could never get them to seat properly under the control arm. I've done this method on all four ball joints of three different cars and I've never had a balljoint stay on after 3 solid blows.

Edit2: Wait... tie rod end? Ok forget about all that... I just smacked mine out with a hammer. You're welcome to borrow a puller if you want.

Yep mine had/has little brakes, first thing I did when I bought the car was order slotted '93+ fronts + calipers. I think the back is dying from all the recent hills shenannigans.
...Must look funny standing in the middle of the road belting manhole covers.

Cheers Jezza :P

Is it one of those pitman-style pullers with the 2 arms?

It is yeah but it's probably a bit too chunky for rod ends. I'd suggest the 3 jaw puller. But you can try both.
