Local source for spigot/hub rings
Anyone know a local source for 73.1 OD 60.1 ID hub rings? I've got a quote from Wheelworx for $60 a set. Seems an awful lot for a bunch of aluminium rings. I need them rather quickly so would prefer a source in Adelaide or inside the country.

I'm not too sure about the plastic/poly ones mate. I've seen them crack and subsequently stick to the hub (had this problem on my silvia). Nevertheless the only plastic ones on fleabay are available overseas anyway.

I've got plastic on mine with the Enkeis and they're fine...quick clean every now and then when the wheels off and squirt of WD40 helps. but then again I've seen you drive... :P

I don't use them. I mean what's the worst that could happen.

Yeah that'd be NSW. How did you figure that? The car's still got SA plates on.

Lack of stobie poles, road without visible patching or potholes, green grass and a median strip with vegetation on it :)

you dont need them, aftermarket wheelnuts (tapered) will centre the wheel perfectly when they are tightened the plastic ones work because they dont actualy take any weight, just centre the wheel

On mine I got vibration/shaking from the front end on the freeway when I forgot to put them on. I thought the tyre shop 'forgot' to balance the wheels; Put on the rings and it was all gone. This was with tapered nuts too.

Tapered nuts will centre the wheel, but if you don't run the rings all the vertical load is being put through the wheel studs. Thats not what they're designed to do, and can break. A decent grade of plastic should be fine, as they're only in compression, but ally ones aren't very expensive in the scheme of things.
