MR2 1991 HARDTOP (adis)

hey guys,
Just want to introduce myself and my ride. My name is Adis. Been driving sport cars for a while now, last two were skyline r33 and silvia s15. Always had one eye on mr2 and just recently, a week ago to be exact, i went to inspect a car and bought it even tho my intention was only to have a look.

Car is 1991 mr2 turbo. I got it cheap so it came with fair bit of issues i must say. But since i got a spare car and double garage, all will be fixed in time.

Issues thus far: Wheel bearing (fixed), Rear stop lights (fixed), overboosting (fixed),windscreen, clutch, alternator(s)... Thats all i believe for now.

As far as upgrades are concerned, I have installed turbotech bost T set on 9psi, boost gauge...
On order i have: Safc, fuel cut defender, Tomei fuel regulator, short shifter for now...

If anyone has any good places in mind for heavy duty clutch, let me know please as i need to buy one asap.
Thanks for reading! -)

UPDATE:
Reason why this photo looks good is because i didnt take it. One of the local car meet ups.

One night i was bored, thought id attempt one of those fancy shots that pros do-FAIL. lol

This is my garage. This is where it all starts. Clutch, number of alternators, brakes, wheel bearings, exhaust and so on, all repaired in that little space there :P

I like the car with the wing better...if i was 18 again. Decided a little less "transformer" look suits me better.   -)

    Congrats mate :)

Haha I do have to admit i was test driving this car and when i returned with it the PO had sold it from under me!
But it all worked out becuase i needed a car that was ready to go as it will be my everyday.

Goodluck with ironing out the niggles. Other the small mechanical imperfections are sorted im sure it will make a nice car :)

Nice looking car, congrats with the purchase and welcome to the forum.

As for the clutch, where are you located?
I run an Exedy HD clutch in my mildly modded turbo which has a good feel and handles more power than stock without any issues.

Both Senor_2 and i have the same mechanic and very similar in power modifications. I run a TRD heavy duty clutch. A bit heavy on the up lift, but likewise handles the power without any issues.

So a bit of an update on the car.
    Thus far i have:
-replaced standard ecu for blitz acess ecu
    -replaced ct26 for ct20
-installed dump pipe to complete the exhaust system
    -boost t set on 17psi
    -put the spoiler back on
    -replaced clutch

Today im going to change the oil and plugs again, get it ready for Heathcote drags. Im taking it to track to see what she does 1/4 mile.

Did you throw it on the dyno to check the mixtures with that setup?

I do plan to check my afrs using a dyno, as well as run standard ecu to compare to blitz.
Ill be doing that in next few weeks, but ill definitely be doing it.

I have spare engine/gearbox on standby if need be. Lol.
