Cheap ($3.99 shipped) LED interior light review AW11 & SW20

Hi all,

I recently purchased a cheap as chips LED interior light from Ebay (China) for my AW11.
I was not expecting much to be honest but when it arrived yesterday and I installed it I was blown away.
It is fantastic (For the price) It is about 20 times brighter than the standard 5w or 10w single bulb, fits behind the cover easily and took a whole 60 seconds to install.
Anyway just thought I'd share this little experience and provide a link incase others wanted to purchase. I think they would fit in the SW20 you would just need two.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/290519407202
I know these have been around for a while but I thought for $3.99 shipped you can't go wrong. The shipping took approx 2.5 weeks
I installed similar in my previous MR2 but I remember paying alot more than $3.99 each!
Peace out

Edit:
You need to buy one for an AW11
You need to buy two for an SW20

Another LED interior light option is available which is slightly cheaper and confirmed to work.

Currently priced at $2.71 (Normal price $3.06) shipped to OZ.

Tinxi is actually my newest favourite seller on ebay. He ships on time, and the stuff he sells is decent quality for the price you pay. I might try a set for my SW20 =D

Is this for the main interior light on the roof of the car?

Yep. I used the LED in place of the single bulb in an AW11.
I'm pretty sure that two of these would work in the SW20s main interior light(s)

Haha. I replaced all of my exterior lights (4 tail lights, 4 indicators, 2 toblerone 2 front parker lights and the reverse lights) from the USA. Superbirghtled.com, the same robk used for his dash lights.

You can buy the exact same products, made in the same place, from eBay for WAY under that. I did every single bulb possible in a mates Accord for $80 - three sets of interior lights, tail lights, indicators, fog lights, etc. That was four years ago, every light still works.

Retail prices on LED's are a complete joke.

    Yep.
A quick look behind the counter at Autobarn confirms that!

You have got a real good deal. Yes led lights are brighter and long lasting than other old light sources

Does an adapter come with the eBay purchase? Do you need one to install into an SW20 or is it a "plug and play"?
    Thanks

    Hi mate,

They come with adapters for about three different types bulb socket.
I can't confirm 100% any details about installation in an SW20 as I put them in an AW11.
