MR2 Diecast?
Does such a model exist? I have looked around fairly briefly and did not see anything. Just starting a collection of models of real cars I have owned and this is the main piece.

Hey Joel, there is a 1:18 diecast Spyder made by Autoart around $85+ (I have a yellow one for sale if you want it) and the AFL set in team colors. Matchbox do a 1:56 AW11 labelled as "Pace Car" and EBBRO do a 1:43 SW20 and the Hotwheels version both come up from time to time on Epay. There are a some others if you keep your eye out. I have lobbied all the manufacturers for many years to get someone to make a 1:18 die cast SW20 without success. They suggested $100K up front for the tooling, yet Burago, Biante and Miasto turn out Ferrari and Porsche by the 100s. Go figure!!!

There's a fair few companies making MR2's, including the SW20 in a number of scales, even Hot Wheels have released a few including this one in 1998. Ebay's your best bet. Not only are there some great detailed models from places like Ebbro, and M-tech, but generally there are a few cheaper Chinese knock offs that look like they are using similar moulds, but crappier materials and finishes, which might be a better option if you don't work to fork out too much money.

For those after plastic model kits, Frontline Hobbies in Newcastle have a selection of SW & Spyder kits. No AW's unfortunately. They have a very extensive web site & a pretty good range of model car kits.
