So who's in?
I spoke to the organiser today, cars need to be registered or cams logbooked (for those with trailer queens).
Club member ship and CAMS license are required. Contact information for getting those is on the website.

I have sent off for my CAMS license and spoke to the guy at the South Burnett Club as you have to be a member, he is sending forms but it's only 25Dollars to join...should be there if that all comes off. Then you have to enter too....

Looking forward to seeing a few MR2's hitting the track instead of sitting in garages and car parks .

Folks, to help Aaron out and have the overnight away that I had suggested previously I have started a new thread about this, so check it out.
I'd be happy for people t continue to use this thread for the competition aspect as Aaron is trying his best to get those who can participate interested, but the Club will now be attending this event in Kingaroy as our October outing.
Any questions then just PM me.

Does anywhere have days that don't require a silly expensive license?

What we're dealing with here is a complete lack of respect for the law.-"Sheriff Buford T. Justice."
Do you know the 1st rule of Italian driving?

If you find a $57 CAMS license or a $50 AASA license too expensive, it might be time to sell your car and buy a pair of roller blades instead

Is that all it is, the forms I looked at were something like $110, maybe I was looking at the wrong one. Still seems like a pointless license. Esp coz I'd be lucky to use it 2-3 times a year.
So do they have days/events where it's not required? I don't really want to have to join a club or buy a license just to drive on a track for an afternoon. Just seems like a cash grab to me.

L2NS license from CAMS is $57 and covers you for 12 months.
Clubman license from AASA is $50 and covers you for 12 months.

If you go to QR or Lakeside, they run AASA and offer day licenses for $20.
Slidewize skidspan days held in Gympie don't require licensing as insurance is included in your entry fee is $135 entry fee. Other events are purely depending on who is running it and their insurance / organisation body.
