ABS light and engine cutout on hard cornering

Hi guys,
 
I've got a 97 bathurst n/a and I'm having a couple of problems. I had a crash recently and the rear left hub (including abs ring) had to be replaced. Since I got the car back I've been having this issue. When I take a hard right hand corner, the ABS light comes on and the engine cuts out briefly. This happens regardless of whether I am using the brakes or not. Other dash lights may come on at the same time but I only noticed the ABS one. Seems to happen only when turning right. Brake fluid is full. I'll be taking the car in to my mechanic but in the mean time any ideas would be great.

    I can tell you 100% sure that the ABS fault light works/power from the body loom.
     
    Are your rear lights connected ? Or a bulb is burnt ?
     
    I had the ABS light on when i started my previous build and didnt have the rear lights connected.
    Contacted my mate we went thru the diagnosis and bang he asked if the lights are connected, i said no , connected them and the light disappeared.
     
    I believe the ABS module senses the wiring for a certain voltage and when you apply the brakes it sees the voLtage to activate the ABS

    Thanks mate, I think you might be onto something. I know I have a tail light out so I'll sort that out and hope it fixes the problem. Was your ABS light constantly on or only sometimes? It's strange that mine comes on only during hard right hand corners. And the accompanying engine cut out is plain weird.

    On all the time but i did have both rear lights not connected.

    Fixed it!!! Turns out the battery tie down was loose so every time I made a hard right, the battery would slide left and the positive terminal would touch the battery tie down. This shorted it out and hence made the engine cut out.
     
    The ABS light I'm assuming was simply another symptom of this same issue.
