Christmas Trackday : now New Years trackday 2013

Looking for feedback on holding a trackday around the Christmas period.
The goal is:
Location: WP (what else..)
As many MR2's as possible
As many track specials MR2's on track at one time.
Show and shine for street cars.
1/8 mile drag races.
Time attack knockout comp held for 1hr in the afternoon with three classes. Club class NA (under over 2 litre),Club class Turbo, Open class/track specials
Passenger laps.
Driver training.
Use of old airstrip for 1 mile run.
WP hillclimb
Drifting
It would be a points based system with a winner at the end
Overnight stay with a BBQ at the track.
Use of the garages on pit lane
If the whole competition thing is too much, just a trackday with the MR2 crowd would be just as good.
With that list it would be a two day event but its just a thought so please provide feedback.

Cheers

Thanks people. Had some great feedback at the meet tonight. There is mention of a cruise to the venue and sponsors to come on board. The MR2 club of NSW is behind the concept. Thankyou guys.
For the interstate drivers, there is plenty of cheap accomodation available. It would be great to have everyone stay at the track as there is accomodation for 40+ people.
What would be a good date to put the event on? Any preferences?

I would definitely be keen on any "non competitive" track time/events.
Been to wakefield before but never driven the mr2 hard :D

    Carless again :(

I'm definitely interested if I have my car together by then. I would suggest no later than end November. December seems to get crazy for anyone in business and you may end up with unfortunate dropouts. May not worry anyone else though,

Yes, tonight I was discussing timing for the event. Nothing confirmed as we have just digested the fact that I have come up with something that may attract a healthy number of MR2s to a event at Wakefield.
So far it looking like 14 possible cars with most interested in the non competition aspect.
Would be great to see the Pearl and its possie up here doing the shoot out or the circuit races...
We are also discussing the option of inviting the Supra crew along to make it a Big brother/Little Brother day. Thoughts on this?
The 1mile event wil involve a lot of planning but we will see what we can come up with.

I'll be interested in taking the cup for 2L N/A
Bring it on I'll take on those non turbo Supras too
But more cars = less time on the track for us :(

It will be a busy few days. Dates are looking like the second week of Jan over two days. Will not be running the standing mile as its too much mucking around to organise but will have plenty of variety at the track. Will also have a spare seat in my car for a lucky few.
    Will have more details soon.

Count the Pearl in. I am very open to dates as time off is no issue.
Look forward to the road trip/mini holiday as well. Would do all events that i could possibly enter.
