Squeaking, clunking Driver's side

Hi Everyone,

I have a JDM '90 GT that's making some really bad squeaks and clunking noises whilst driving. Changed the front pads a week ago, however this sounds like the suspension. Doesn't sound good :(
IS it the struts?
THank you in advance for your help.......!!

Any oil leaking from the top of the shocks?

Check for play in ball joints and tie rod ends, both front and rear. Also check for play in wheel bearings.

Check under the front anti-roll bar mounting brackets for cracks in the chassis.

Is the noise coming from the front or back? If it is from the back check that the big nuts on the rods linked to the bottom of the wheel hubs are dead tight. These can sometimes work loose and cause squeaking and clunking noises especially when driving slowly over bumps and driveways.

mine had clunking and squeaking from the rear struts, and it turned out mine were blown. If it is these get it fixed ASAP as my car became unbelievably dangerous to drive

Also check swaybar end links and inspect the strut housing as my strut inserts kept coming loose.
