Speed camera

Did 100 in an 80 zone.
Two lanes in my direction and two lanes in the other direction separated by a piece of land(grass) and knee-high fencing.
Camera was stationed on the other side (other direction) of the road.
Was a bit distracted and felt like it was a 100 zone.
It was basically country/farm land, wide roads, felt like 100 freeway.

Thoughts?  ...I'm done aren't I...

Depends, where were the sensors? Were there the line of dots on your side of the road?

    Where was it? (State /road)

Dots were on my left, so I was 3 lanes and a small grass field sized lane away from the camera.
I'd guess the sensors would be a metre or so away from the camera itself.
I've got Melbourne rego and it's on an interstate road so.
Wanna appeal and say I was unfamiliar with the road, which is truth.
Kinda paranoid posting the exact road/location of the incident as this is a public forum but...
It's on the border of either NSW or ACT, country road.

Well if the dots were on you left you may have had a second of your life stolen for life!

So sensors on your side of the road as well? I think the fixed cameras used pressure pads or inductive loops under the road.

You may just cop a fine but not lose points. That or you could be lucky and something like the grass interfered with the shot.

so you only realised it was an 80 zone after getting flashed/receiving the fine?

then by all means, right a letter/challenge etc.

if you knew what the speed limit was and knew you were speeding, then pay the fine.
