Eric's SW20 G-Limited Hardtop - JDM
Hey everyone
So I'm new to this forum, and after some reading around I thought I should post up my SW20
This is my first car, I recently got my learners and because my family does not own a manual car, I had to purchase one.
So after many hundreds of hours working at a large supermarket, i had enough to go and buy a car. obviously, being a drift photographer, the logical choice was a Silvia, I decided that I wanted something a bit different though, something you don't see every day.
After checking out this car and going for a drive in it, I fell in love with it. Its just awesome, although sometimes I do get a bit frustrated with it :P
Anyway, onto the car's details
It's 1990 SW20 G-Limited with hardtop
Manual 3S-GE
Fabric Seats
Fog Lights
It's a Japanese import; It was imported in 2007, in Tasmania, and has slowly worked its way up the east coast of Australia until it arrived with me at the start of this year :P
Obviously, some owners have mistreated it, and I have found old for sale ads with my car in it, but so far, I have done next to nothing on this car - bar giving it some loving and starting to recondition it
Aftermarket stuff:
-HKS Hi-Power Muffler
-HKS Springs
-HKS Pod Filter
-Volk Knock-off wheels with locking nuts
-RDA Slotted rotors with EBC Red stuff brake pads
-Clear front indicatiors
-Alpine head unit with clarion 6 point speaker system/layout
-OMP Style Wheel
-Short Shifter and New leather Shift boot with red stiching + Aluminium shift knob
The plan for this car is to be slowly reconditioned. I have started work on the interior by fixing the shifter assembley and the shift boot, The car will hopefully being repainted in the factory black, as it has had a hard life and a terrible debadging process (the guy gave me the badges though) Also new wheels are planned as the ones that are fitted have terrible offset.
I do have a few questions about this car
Apparently the combination of G-Limited, hardtop, manual and black is rare?
Power wise what am I looking at?
If I was to recondition the seats, should I have them Redone in leather or Fabric?
Sorry for the long post, but if you read all (Or at least some of it) thanks for your time!, and there will be more photos coming soon!
