WOW that is a VERY clean a dub! Congrats on the purchase. The A dub is an amazing car considering the age of the thing!

Cheers, I've enjoyed it very much since I picked it up. It feels lighter than the sw20 but the sw20 felt a little more alive in the steering and suspension feedback. The desire to improve has already begun.

Very nice find! I'd think long and hard about whether to modify it, and if proceeding, ensure that any mods are easily reversed. With the passage of time the stock ones are increasingly rare and hence potentially more valuable. Looks like you are missing a wheel center piece, so you should probably grab one as soon as you can. Congrats again on a great car.

I fully agree! I will be keeping alterations to a minimum and storing all the original parts.

Great find mate super clean. I'm also keeping original parts even for my SW20 which isn't as old as the AW11 but in Canada 25 years is considered classic!

oof.. goddamn. bloody nice! where the hell'd you find that? i would have bought it had i seen it! one owner too; im jealous. i love how unmolested it is. i'd definetley try and keep that stock... its just too nice! regarding the comparison to your Sdub, I'm fairly sure stock-for-stock the AW11 should feel sharper. At 25years and 173,000km, replacing the rack ends, tie rod ends, bushes and getting a good alignment should sort it right out! .. then slowly over time clean it up more and more. new exhaust tips, aerial, mudflaps, refinish the wheels, touch-up some trims, quality tyres, factory cruise setup, repro floormats, and a bucket of wax.. and aarrgh.. it'l be brand new! ALSO, if you're going to go club rego, dont hand the plates in. they really should be kept with the car, and cant be re-printed right if you lose them. (the colours are off, and the slogan will be gone) i'll have em if you dont want them! :P anyway, enjoy. :) (ps, straighten up that light switch! it should just pull off and push back on to mirror the left)

Hi Rds, I picked it up from a dealer down past Morwel. It had only been on carpoint for 3 days when i put a deposit down. It had had a lot of interest apparently but that may have been the dealer putting on the usual spiel. I already fixed the head lamp switch. all I plan are a set of 3rd gen wheels semi race rubber, Koni/ Eibachs, straighten out the inlet path and a fujitsubo stainless cat back. The plan once the rego is up is to get her on club reg. I plan on keeping the plates too. She got a good clay bar job and coat of wax today! looking very sharp now. A good allignment is already on the cards, It's booked in tomorow.

Your Canadian eh! It's funny, a Canadian guy only brought my old sw20 a month or so ago. It's a good thing to be able to take advantage of club rego. my aw11 just comes under the category now at 25 years. I'd certainly call it a modern classic as well.

All good! I was on a working holiday in Canada a few years ago and only saw one MR2 in the whole year I was over there. It had Alberta rego and was very rusty. obviously due to the amount of time the snow covers the roads. Can be up to 6 months of the year!

Hi all, It's been a while since I posted anything about my car and how it's going and for good reason. Three months ago now I had the car off the road to do some repairs to the cooling system. Being that the idea from the get go was to do some work on prepping the car for hill climbs and club/ track days, I thought now is as good a time as any to start. Here's whats planned and whats been done! zzw30 mr2 wheels and Federal 595rsr tyres Eibach springs and Tokico 5 way adjustable dampers all cooling pipes and hoses replaced cylinder head overhauled + mild cam upgrade tvis delete plate (the cams fitted will more than make up for the lost low down torque) extractors and high flow exhaust is sorted but will be fitted once the motors back in. lightened factory flywheel and custom clutch setup I have purchased 20valve silver top itb's pending a standalone ecu for future fitment.
