I'll plus one making sure your very clear with the chasers boys. There quality of work is fine etc, but we had a little drama when we had our rally subaru tuned they kept switching it off straight after dyno pulls. Ended up cracking the turbine housing.
Don't know how they go with haltecs, but they do really well with motec's.

havent posted progress of the build for a while. the top end is ready now. the crank has been machined for the 3s rods, everything is balanced, just need the bottom end assembled and everything should fit back together relatively easy until the engine is back in the car.

I'd also recommend different nuts for your studs mate. I've tried using this type of copper coated nuts on my downpipe to little effectiveness. Grab some of the standard toyota items IMHO.

the exhaust nuts will be fine.

Darren Im not sure when it will be on the road. There will be a fair bit of fabrication work and dicking around once the engine is back in. Then it will need a tune, a run in and then tuning again. Im used to waiting and receiving setbacks!!

Looks great Pat, those purple cam gears are totally hot right now The run in will be the most painful as you'll have to nanny it around, probably with a rev limited, hehe. But soon enough you'll be doing track days and having a blast

The run-in wont be too bad Matt, can clock up 1000k in this country quite quickly. I'll need to hook up the W2A setup in the intervening period too so will need a bit of time for that.

Do as you wish, I've used three of the very same sets on my 4 bolt down pipe flange. Each time they came loose very quickly.

Admittedly the downpipe flange would see more vibration then the manifold flange.

I ended up going back to stainless conelock nuts with nordlock washers on the downpipe connection.

Anyway, this is just my experience.

Well hang in there man. I hope everything else goes well without any setbacks. At the end of the day I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait .
