The exhaust manifold is finished and on its way back from the coaters. Very happy with the result, a 6boost style collector was used, runners are all pretty much the same length. I'll post up some close up photos when I get it back.

Thanks for taking me for a drive on the Monday. I needed a few days to get my head around the experience before commenting.
First of all, the car is just perfect. When I sat in the car, I felt as if I just sat in a brand new car off the showroom floor. They really are a fantastic style of car and you have provided an excellent example of the SW20. In saying that, almost every MR2 I have encountered through the forums has been very well presented. Unfortunately mine is very far from this..
You asked what I thought of the pick up but as I was so tired from the weekend I couldnt really compute till I sat down in Sydney last night. Its response is exactly what everyone should aim for in a turbo car. Your car with both of us in the car was about 350kgs heavier than mine but pulled off the corners quicker at a lower corner speed due to car spec. After that is was simply this thrust up to redline which it found very quickly. In a straight line it is a lot quicker than my car no doubt about it. The end result is 'I want one of these in my car!' .
Very nice brakes, smooth ride, nice suspension, no wonder its in the magazines.
Will have to return the favour one day when there is a track day on and your in Sydney.

Thanks again and congrates on your efforts.

Nice car Patrick. Looked and sounded great at the Nationals. Favorite SW by a long shot.

Thanks Matt, was good to see your car too, love that adub and will have one some day! Good to meet you and share the delightful customer service in Bright!

Ace - Im holding off on an update until I do some more tuning. Basically the manifold is a far superior design and yes I have upped the A/R to 0.82. I would expect a loss of around 500 rpm spool but that doesnt bother me. Response seems to be very similar at the moment but I dont have any rpm signal right now so hard to say. Shifting by feel like those Ducati's!

Here is a scan of last months article in Fast fours & Rotaries.

yeh got that issue. looks mint.

will be keen to hear the final verdict. and see if the lost spool due to the lager AR is offset by the superior mani/housing setup.

Edit:

I really like what you did with the catch can + braided lines + connectors.   does the PCV metal come out to thread the end? or did you modify the cam cover? can you give me details on how you did that? it looks fantastic!

Thanks :)
