Did you notice much difference with em installed? I was thinking about replacing my skateboard bearing kit with the one you got. quote: Originally posted by stuka

Harness, gauge surrounds, LEDs, shifter bushes and sills. Someone has been treating the MR2 lately . I look forward to seeing pictures of all these items installed man. With the door sills, you might need to shave off around 0.5mm off the OEM plastic sills to fit them as they don't fit straight on. Well mine didn't without minor modification. Good luck with the tune! Please let me know how you go man.

thanks darren, I havent put photos up for a while so will do that soon. had the car tuned yesterday, made 244 rwkw. not a bad start, I think there is another 10% in it. still a bit of work left in the tuning, A/F is a bit rich in the mid range. has trouble holding boost in the top end so will need to figure out what thats about. the 3071 is an awesome turbo. any comments on the dyno prints?

The power looks like it increases quite smoothly, unlike alot of graphs I've seen from turbo engines. I'm very glad I chose the GT3076R for my car after seeing this. I know it won't be the same as your 3071, but it will probably be very similar.

the gt3071 is an awesome turbo, really impressed with the power delivery. if feels very responsive and the acceleration is impressive. dasic is right, this is a stroker, spec is as follows
- weisco 86.5mm stroker pistons, CR 8.3:1 - eagle H beam rods - 1mm oversized valves - 3 angle valve job and throat correction on ports - turbo is single scroll, 0.63A/R - tial f38 external wastegate - 268 degree cams - 800cc injectors and wolfkatz fuel rail - 70mm throttle body - ATS inlet manifold - EMS exhaust manifold

turbo is undersized for outright power but perfect for that midrange punch. glad you got the result you were after. once finetuned i cannot wait to go for a spin next time im down in Tassie!

I forgot that he has stroker pistons. He also has an aftermarket inlet manifold and a bigger throttle body.

Congrats on getting it running (good start) but I honestly think it's far from perfect. Looks very messy to me. My analysis below:
- 244rwkw @ 23-22psi isn't right - It's running a bit on the lean side (approx 11.8:1 opposed to a more safe/conservative 11.5:1) - RPM suggests they backed off well before 7000rpm (hard to tell off "derived" but judging by speed it's about 6000-6200rpm) - Torque graph is all over the shop
Looks like it might be having some small ignition breakup & I dare say the ignition map needs some work. Any idea why they backed off well before 7000rpm? It's promising that it's still building power when they let off, but that's too much boost in my opinion. Would perfect the boost controller setup (doesn't seem to be any problem though), then look at ignition timing & the spark plugs (gap?), then cam timing if necessary. My estimate is you'll get it to around 250-260rwkw @ 7000pm (suggest rev limit of 7500 though) on 20psi with it setup correctly.
