Banner ads interference

Firstly I would like to point out that I have no objection to the banner ads themselves.
However, I have noticed that some of them seem to obscure the drop down menu from the "Forum Menu" when trying to get to "posts since last visit". While typing this the Colonial First State ad is on and obscuring in the exact manner.
It does not seem to be from all ads - is there any way to address this annoyance?
Cheers

I haven't seen this happen though I believe that some ads "expand" when you put your mouse over them (without clicking). Try pressing the ESC key if it happens again.
