I didnt touch any of that under the manifold. I simply disconnected the vac hose off the wastegate actuator that goes to the tvsv and plugged it with a bolt and plugged the actuator nipple too with the same. You can also unplug the solenoid too but i dont see the need.

Well I have the Tvsv side of the wastegate blocked but I am still overboosing (see http://www.mr2australia.c..r2play/tm.aspx?m=71145) so i am trying to confirm all options.

Don't hold this as guaranteed, but from what I understand:
1: vacuum source to manifold
the blue container is a vacuum resevoir
2: output from the wastegate diaphram
3: goes to the TVIS VSV
4: output of the TVSV (back to intake?)
5: this is the solenoid that switches vacuum to the TVIS diaphram (where the arrow is pointing)
