As I thought and maintain, a lot of goodies BUT it would depend on the purpose of the car. Daily = GTS. Weekend warrior = GT with $5000 spent on upgrades of choice. I am surprised that with all the extra goodies the GTS has, it is only 18kg heavier

yeah extra plastic etc doesn't weight much... but thats good as you can still have all the comforts without sacrificing performance. because I would only get the GTS, it makes it an expensive(ish) car for me.

GTS also has alloy spare wheel instead ofsteel like in the GT. That might help with weight?

get the GT if you cant afford the GTS or are building a race car and just intend onstripping it. that is the only reason you would get the GT- really, saying i dont want this and that is just crap, its all good stuff.

^Good point salem. TBH though a few extra kg isn't going to make any real difference, unless you're racing. At least the GT comes with A/C as STANDARD.

I hope to see some 86 seats on the market at some point over the next few years. I'd happily fork out ~$1500 - $2000 for a pair

Getting my 86 GT in August, cannot wait for it to come. For me getting one really came down comparing a new car to an used car. My mates have had AE86's, S14's, S15's and an Impreza and even in those cars which are fast, it really felt different to a 'new' car. All the mods done over the years takes it's toll on the chassis and body which is miles apart from a current technology body and chassis. I'm not particularly saying old cars are bad but just justifying why the 'new' feeling is fantastic....
