Second 2012 Club Run- Sunday 25th of March - "Mooball Calls"

From the President's Desk:

Following on the huge success of our first run for this year, the details for our second run of 2012 are as follows:


Meeting Place/Time: (South Side of Brisbane)

• Shell servo Jimboombah - 17kms south of Browns Plains on the left hand side of the Mt Lindsay Highway.
• Meet at 9.00am for a 9.30am (sharp!) departure.

Route:

• South via back roads to Canungra and then via another twisty road to the morning tea stop in the Numinbah Valley.
• From Numinbah Valley on over the border to Murwillumbah.
• Through Murwillumbah to join the Tweed Valley Way, then the Brisbane Valley Way, and then Mooball, and then the Pacific Motorway (only a short distance) to the markets at Bangalow.
• Arrive at Bangalow at approximately 12.30pm for lunch and two hours markets shopping by co-drivers. Parking for the Club is being arranged in advance at the Markets. 
• Depart Bangalow at 2.30pm then via a great hilltop road down to Byron Bay. Through Byron Bay and back via the Pacific Motorway to the final goodbye point at Chinderah, where there is a top fish and chips shop plus a park and toilet for those who might want to stay for a while and watch the sunset over Mt Warning and the river.

Lunch:

Own arrangements at Bangalow Markets. There is a huge variety of cheap food, quiet places to sit, and great stalls to shop at.

Run Admin:

There will be a detailed run sheet provided via PM to everyone who says they are coming, plus copies given out on the day on the day if needed. The usual indemnity form will need to be signed if the Club Incorporation is not finalised (it should be by then).

If you have two-way UHF radios please bring them as it helps to ensure that none of us get lost.

A roll call for the Run will be started on the Forum. If you have any questions then let us know and we will do our best to answer them. Don’t forget to let us know if you are coming!

the principles we have built the run calendar on is that the runs alternate days and directions, so as Steve said we have the next one on Sunday, plus we are going south. The April run heads west up through Crows Nest.
 
By doing this we are trying to afford the opportunity to have as many get to go on a run as possible, knowing how work arrangements, etc; no longer run to the 9 to 5, Monday to Friday plan as they may have a few years back.

Sounds like a great day out. I bought a 2001 ZZW30R in November. Cant wait to take it out with you guys. Count us in  (me plus wife) cheers...

Glad to see you and your partner will be joining us for this month's cruise to Bangalow. You certainly picked a good one for your first run with the Club. Walter and Kathy have planned some great roads for this one.
