Looks so much better now. What else is left to do before you get rid of the ute for the cruises.

Thought i might put a few updates up.

This is my 1989 SW20 Turbo, with a TRD 2000GT style kit, and few other bits and bobs.

Long story short, for those that dont know my car... It was black, was off the road for about... 2 years getting bodywork fixed up, re sprayed (lamborghini orange) and stuff, i also got new wheels, suspension, worked on the enigne and few other things.

After being off the road for so long, finaly had a goal to get it driveable, the track day at haunted hills, after 2 years of work i got it somewhat done by about 3am the day of the track day, by 3pm i had smashed the front of it! [V]

Due to work, time, money and motivation it sat under a car cover for a year!

So its been a year now, and have started to work on it again.

Stripped the interior, anything that dosent make run is gone, its now at a roll cage shop getting a full weld in roll cage, should be out soon, then ill be painting the cage and interior, few other bits inside then while windows are still out, ill save up some money and get the front fixed and painted!

Some pics.......

Car was black....

Then......

Then after a tin of paint a brush........

But then.............

And it got a new home for a year, a car cover....

Here is a YouTube vid of my car, its a year and half almost old

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d2YswmIarQ

Pic of motor

Some pics taken today, of the roll cage almost built, harness bar and few others still to go in, most bars are still just tack welded or need to be finished.

Its tight in a mr2 as it is, let alone adding a roll bar next to your head, then add padding and add helmet, so getting the side bars as far away from the head as possible is hard on the targas! had to remove all the latch and brackts, wont use the shades (ah yeah i have shades for sale now!)

As it will be driven on the street, occationaly, theres ALOT of bars i would have liked to go in, side intrusion higher ect, but cant, i have to confirm to the Vicraods spec for roll cages (1 or 2 bars i hope they dont notice) and of course CAMS.

Also got some new seats, Sparco Sprints

I realy realy wanted Cobra evos, but cant use for sreet, seatbelt wont work as side support way higher then my lap and yeah wrap around headrest ect, prob a no go.

Also have new 3" 6 point Klippan Willans harnesses.

looks great, i like the direction you are taking with the car. very similar to mine.

yes as for targa panels, it is that situation unfortunately, the reason i havent put a cage into mine yet is that i love having the roof off on nice days..

i would miss it hahaha, its very brave of you.

Honest answer: drove to fast

Passing the blame: cold tires! hill climb, so start off from stop, run track for ~ 1 min then stop and tyres cool down, couldnt get heat in them, and they need alot of heat
