Ha ha yeah. Well hopefully one day the car will be running and racing and wont just be a coolness factor. Heres a few pics I know im crazy when i have V8 Supercar control parts on loan, for test fitting, while im waiting on mine to be made. Poor pic, but you can see the rear jacks actually goes through the chassis rail! And heres what the rears look like installed and plumbed in. The hose is BMRS (Brown and Miller) smooth bore teflon with teflon impregnated glass braid. Front jack plumbed up.

Yeah feel free to use the pics. The shifter was just not bolted in, i had a few things getting zinc plated and thought as the shifter was exposed and rusty get it done too. Ill be running the E153 but maybe with dog gears.

WIDEMR Thanks Steve, thanks for the comments and all your help and advice, your car was an inspiration for mine. Your the pioneer, i just copied.
Thankyou Brendan, It is great to be of help to you. Your build will inspire more to build more MR2 'race spec' cars so we may see a field of MR2's in some series in the new few years instead of fading away into obscurity. Sweetpete bought one of the shifter units from a guy who ran a std 6 speed but upgraded to a dedicated sequential gearbox and paddle shifter. I think you should go with a standard unit with a gearset upgrade or standard unit. This way you can come to grips with the car and driving in a circuit environment while not having to concern yourself with managing a tricky gearbox. Once you have mastered your car, the tracks and maximised everything else, then put a fancy gearbox in the car or you will wear out a lovely piece of jewelry before you can maximise the rest of the car. Eg: Ric Shaw put a $15k dog gearset into his Bathurst 12hr car. By the second day, it was removed with the standard unit installed due to the problems the co-drivers were having and Ric's concerns of damage to the box by the co-drivers. They are cool, but comes with a hefty price and responsibility. I hope you do fit the refuel to the front of the car. It will be a first in Aus. I found a site with wireless switches for the steering wheel. http://www.cartek.biz/STEERINGWHEELCONTROLS.html Cheers

I had a feeling it was that unit. Its a great website. Have you looked into the power distribution box? I have been researching how to build one or find a cheaper option than the stupid prices hatech are charging. Have you been logging weight reduction or do you have a weight on the car? What is the engine/ gearbox package? How about brake package?

I have the Racepak Smartwire (the one Haltech sells as you mentioned) but there is a huge difference between the Cartek small power module and a full CAN based power module connected to a data logger, feel free to give me a call if you like. Not sure on weight yet. Engine details will come but will be a 5SGTE around 400HP maybe, with E153 as said maybe dog gears, obviously LSD ect Brakes to come.

I have a Borg Warner EFR 6758 with the high boost wastage actuator, turbo rpm sensor, boost controller, metal CRV cover ect fitted Its rated 275-500HP, altho sometimes listed 275-450HP so dunno, hopefully it will be bigh enough, im not wanting high HP dyno figures to brag about, i just want a nice amount of power but responsive.

Yes and no. It will be entering a few different style of races / events which each have there own regulations and classes so which class ill be in ill be making sure i comply with that class, for example world time attack would be OPEN class.
