Okay so I know I promised some photos a while ago but i completely forgot about it, but i'm here to show you what happened about a month ago from now...

So this is the car with the engine in it :) been fairly busy though through the past month so i've just being parts here and their... I ran all the wires for the cruise control today and found the speed controller box on the other car but am having troubles getting the top bracket for this part so it's just hanging there of the bottom bracket :/.

I've yet to finish the ABS stuff I think i need to find a ECU under the dash from the other car... I will have a look soon.

Things I have bought since I last posted on this thread;
Advanti talon 17 inch rims
K&N panel filter (yet to arrive)
K&N oil filter (yet to fit to car)
Saas steering wheel (I will fit after I get the car painted)
After market short shifter
TRD genuine round gear knob.
Door handle surrounds inside and door pocket things (yet to receive)
manual gear boot and gear shifter surround

Things in the future to buy;                                                                                  Things to fix;
7 inch din display with maps                                                                                 ABS system need to find ABS ecu
Sound system                                                                                                       Need to find the reason for indicators not working and main speedo lights not working.
After Market Exhaust and might get some extractors                                           Do some panel beating and sand back for paint
Re trim car seats with leather                                                                               replace front windscreen and wipers
Tinted indicators and side repeaters                                                                    remove tint from windows (aged turning purple)
Fog lights                                                                                                              something is wrong with the speedo...
                                                                                                                             flush all fluids and fix all leaks in roof.
                                                                                                                             give it a wash.

Wow very nice. What a difference some wheels make. Great progress.
I wouldn't worry to much about rushing into getting the ABS working. It's rubbish, well is on my car anyway.
Goodluck.

Oh nice purple5ive I've only ever seen two mr2's other than mine both in langy a white and green one.. Not yours? Anyway I'm on centre road :) Joel my dad decided he wanted me to have abs I'm not 18 just yet so he's worried about me crashing it of course :S I'm going to drive like a grandma most of the time though haha. Anyway the abs is all fitted I just have to find the ecu and fit it... Shouldn't be a problem as everything just seems to bolt straight on. Thanks for the positive feed back :)

Mines a green one with the snorkle, so could have been my car.
ABS on the earlier model ones are **** according to reports from people who have had it, i didnt have it from day one, some also do say its saved them a few times. just drive it very very carefully in the wet otherwise you may end up learning the hard way.

Theres a centre road in langwarrin?? lol

cheers

Nice work on the car man, ABS isnt too big of a deal.

I had to remove mine when I put my Gen 3 engine in, and there's not a lot of difference...I think its actually better.  Just no hard braking in the wet, the front will lock up pretty easily.

centre road is just the continuation of Potts road if you know that road... That's the way to get to langwarrin from Carrum Downs
Oh well the ABS is all connected up so i may as well just finish it.

Btw i'm looking at buying some gen 3 lights, and I found some on ebay for $120 they didn't sell about a month ago so I asked the guy if he still had them. He has the lights but they are missing the right hand side lens (little one furthest towards the front of the car...) and the garnish is missing the lights and casing. Got any ideas how much it would cost to buy these parts and it would help if anyone knows the part numbers. Thanks

ah yeah i know where it is now, i use mcclelland drive to get to lang/karingal areas
probably best to buy the whole lot in one go man saves you headaches later on.
gorrila industries have some cheap. try and get one with a lock cylinder/barrel already in there otherwise it looks ****e with a hole in the back panel
cheers

Hey guys just ran into some minor problems with my climate control unit. When i slide it to the left it feels like it's getting caught, but the switch seems to dig in and cause this feeling so i took it apart and a ball bearing fell out i'm wondering whether there was supposed to be 2 ball bearings on the knob so it doesn't catch. So I can move the slider to the left when I stick my finger down the right side of the knob and push to the left I can get it to about half way but no further... Any thoughts?
