dunno guys. apparently the tuner suspected the timing was off as he had some small pinging, he said it was off by atleast 10deg he told me that after the bearing went. but im sure he was being cautious. but they didnt check timing before starting to tune and i would have thought that should have been the first thing they did. car started first go after installign the GEN 3 pfc but idled like **** and kept stalling. few minutes into it and he got the car runnign properly. car would have made more power as the tuner guarentted it he said he was just getting started. it blew on the 3rd power run was probably on the dyno for about 30min max. it made 164kw on 12psi on 2nd run, then next run intake temp was at 60degrees and power dropped to 147kw, went looking for answers and realised the intercooler fan wasnt working at all during all the runs ( i have mine still connected to the intake sensor on the engine lid and since the engine lid was open the fan wasnt ON) next run was the last. was devastated but **** happens i guess, but the timing was the worst i wanted to get the car sprayed but thats now gone out the window. andy - tuner is ETUNER suposedly good but see what happens.

Look on the bright side. With a built eng you can let the hiflow boost what it wants to and maybe hit closer to 200kw.

Yeah hope soo too but I'm not expecting much as I'm still planning on running stock fuelling components. I should just get a walbro along with some 550s which means bored rail too but can't afford it atm. I knew selling the 550s and bored fuel rail wasn't a good idea until I finished tuning.

Gee that sucks hard mate. Mine made 170rwkw on stock fuel with a ct20b/exhaust/intake only. No idea what it was boosting at but once I got the uprated side mount in and a boost gauge it likes hitting 14-16psi depending on temp/gear. Albeit that was the first dyno run and it blew the knock sensor and subsequently made 120rwkw on the 2nd run.

Yeah 170ish kw is what most cars running gen 2 engines get to befire they max the injectors out. Hopefully I can get there without any hassles this time car was running high 11s in the afr when it made the 164kw

Was there any explanation why your power dropped 50kw after the knock sensor was changed? Thats a lot to loose. I thought 20kw in one go was bad enough.ill make sure the intercooler fan is on this time.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us so is that a good reading ???? thats the last dyno run from few weeks ago. i only got the plots yesterday. debating on wether to change the fuel pump and injectors to be safer. engine is still getting fixed and is out of the car so its a oportunity to do such things.

change the fuel pump at least now, u can do injectors etc later on when the engine is in, theyre easy. Keep an eye on the US forums, ive seen some decent rails and injectors go for cheap. Just do the pump now while all the other work is being done.

Is that 4th gear? I would've thought there would be more km/h near redline in 4th? Top of 3rd gets to 140-150. Mid 12's were a bit lean yes....on the QLD run to Gympie I think I made 130rwkw on 7psi around 60% throttle and AFR's peaked around 19 **shock horror**. BUT - in saying that...the exhaust was not covered up to force all the gas through the tube so I don't know how accurate it is. As far as the knock sensor goes...made 170rwkw first run...blew the knock sensor on that run...the 2nd run was with an engine check light and so made 120rwkw and was taken off the dyno. Wasn't a fun drive to Redland bay to pick up another one.

Yea I noticed that - seems so strange when 4th will get up around 180kmh near red.
