Anyway I never said anything about a subwoofer purple5 but thanks for clearing that up. I have a 12' alpine type S behind my passenger seat and my amp on my side and fit both targas behind my seat without any problems and Im close to 6'1 so there is plenty of room [:x)]
For reference:

sorry mate didnt meant to say YOU in the post about the subwoofer
i have fixed it now
it was meant as a general comment as to how some of you guys might think the 6.5inch is a waste as most of the installs i have seen have used at least an 8 inch woofer or bigger and have taken up the room where the targa goes
i didnt want to do it that way - yes it much easier that way too
why did i do it this way ???
i wanted to retain the targa storage option even after the amps have been mounted on the firewall and one of the ways to do that is to do what im trying to
sure there is the subwoofer boxes that EMS powered sell
but then you cannot mount the amps on the firewall like i have which i wanted to do
so the only option for me was the 6.5 inch sub
it hasnt been installed propely yet but i tested it in the car and im happy with the bass output as i didnt really want anythign too loud
perfect for everyday listening
i have to make a custm enclosure for the sub
it fits in the storage area as is but i cannot store the targa tops with the sub being there
btw your idea is also good i thought about that as well have the amp on one side and sub on the other and use the amp area to house both the targa tops
but i was determined to have two matching amps on the firewall at the least which is why i chose to go with what im currently doing
my firt option was a 4 channel amp in the front trunk area but scrapped that
i have edited the first stereo post to put in the specs
cheers
