its easy man, just time consuming took me a good 8 hours over 2 days to finish it off. lots of it was sanding the piping to make it shiny. The cleaning i did with a combination of wd40, brake cleaner and degreaser, lots of microfibre towels and chemical guys bare bones undergarraige spray. cheers

yeah 4 hours saturday and another 4 on sunday. had other things to do so had to stagger it around other work. on saturday the intake piping and cooler piping got pulled out and i started to sand(wet and dry) and polish them up, sunday did the rocker cover ( only what i could get to with my hands so the part under the throttlebody is still crap lol) then the rest of the engine bay which i could work by hand was degreased, cleaned and detailed and finally the piping etc put back together. i didnt do anything under the car or to the undercarraige etc, thats the name of the spray on stuff i used in the engine bay, although its meant for the undergarraige and suspension, wheel wells etc, it works fantastic as a engine bay detailer. http://www.chemguys.com.au/BARE_BONES_UNDERCARRIAGE_SPRAY_p/tvd_104.htm So yeah Took me a while, the best time to do this is when the engine is out. cheers

Ah that time frame sounds more plausible lol. I won't have the engine out for a while (it just got in lol) Do you now how to clean salty air residue from metal? Got some on my rocker cover :(

Yeah I doubt degreaser or WD40 will help, you have no choice but to sand it I think. I had to do the same before I painted my cam cover.
