Ferrea upper valve train kit (springs, Ti retainers & inner spring seats)

Sigh, as per standard procedure, I've got to change crap around again, resulting in more lost coin.

I've got Ferrea Dual Valve Springs, Titanium Retainers & inner spring seats to go.  These are brand new.  Only one of each has been removed from the packaging for the purpose of measurements etc.

These work with shimless or shim over buckets only, which is my problem.  In the caldina head the stem tip to base circle measurement is greater then supported by the shimless bucket method and I need to retain the standard shim under configuration.  Ferrea don't do a retainer (that I am aware of) to suit the shim under configuration.  Going to have the use the supertech gear, which I hoped to avoid.

Cost ~$615 + freight from USA, sell $505 shipped within Aus.

Pictures to come, only got 1 retainer & 1 spring at home, all the rest of it is at my cylinder head machnists'

My loss is your gain.

wonder if you could just get the Ti retainers from supertech and keep the ferrea springs?

Looked into it, the ID of the inner spring is different, as such, it wont fit the retainer properly (will be a loose fit).

Have you contacted ferrea to see if the have the ti retainer to suit shim under? Or the cost to make a set?

The make them to suit the beams head which is shimunder, albiet to suit 5.5 stem dia.

Surely even be able to modify the bore of them maybe?

I need to purchase a set at some point if you want to compare, or I can send a std beams retainer to compare etc.

I bought supertech springs and valvetrain gear for the head (inc shim under buckets) so I solved the issues.  Cutting the taper in the retainers is a pretty precise art.  Any inconsistency here could lead to the retainer and valve parting company, so I wouldn't be too keen to used modified items.
