I'll be in Perth as of the 1st of February, moving from Victoria... And I'll have my car after it comes off the Indian Pacific on the 11th of Feb... So I am in at this stage. :)

Hi Chase, $910 all up for the MR2 to go on the Indian Pacific from Melbourne to Adelaide, and then Adelaide to Perth - I believe there's a change of service at Adelaide.
Got quoted just over $1000 from a couple of other car mobs. Heard Toll is reliable, but I think the train works out to be quicker from point A to B.

Cheers for that - definately been eyeing a few cars over there and wouldnt mind getting something sent over.
Oh may as well edit this:
Cruise in confirmed in at this date (no longer an EOI).
Confirmation of Time, Meet Point and estimated duration TBA.
I know there are a few Perth guys here, whose cars may not be running (or running right) - feel free to come down (or come for a drive?)....

As long as it's in the arvo, I'll see you there (I've got sleep apnoea). :)
The thought occurs though, perhaps I could be more than a fifth wheel. I'm a writer and occasional motoring journalist (albeit for octogenarians with ear-hair like the RAC and Eco Car); what if I wrote a piece for the website? Perhaps comparing MR2 generations, and getting each owner's view on what drew them to their model?

I'm sure everyone will have something to say about their car. Getting certain people to stay on track however may prove challenging... Ahem, (chase_d), Ahem! ;) Just kidding man. :) In all seriousness though, we should document these cruises in some way from now on. I used to run cruises fairly frequently for an old club I used to belong to, and was always taking video and photos much to everyone's enjoyment, (annoyance). Writing something would be a fun idea, and you could put it on here for everyone to read. Write whatever you want, as long as it's flattering, or we'll be re-enacting scenes from that 'Death Race' movie! ;)

My video camera is very decent, but the still camera is just a point and shoot. It still takes a very decent photo though...

Sorry only had access to this via my phone - and was so slow. Cruise is Definately sunday (weekends are easier for 98% of people) only chance a weekday cruise would happen if it were a night one, and im rediculous with directions (yes I admit that and am organising a cruise  _ so will keep it sunday.
