NA revving cars have so much heart. Make for perfect daily's.
You are very right. They are awesome fun. I can be punting along as much as I want and I still get 6-8litre per 100km. Amazing fuel economy. I used to get 13-14l per 100km on the mr2, its not as quick as the mr2 but at least I get to enjoy the engine for longer before it reaches the speed limit. I "casually" passed a bus from 40km and built up speed to 80km an hour and it was screaming, the second LIFT kicked in it flies.

I am very much tempted to try this Carbon Fibre wrap that I bought the other day. I just want to make sure that I apply it correctly the first time lol I tried it on some interior bits but it didn't stick well at all. I didn't clean the edges properly and with the heat of the interior some of it peeled up a bit. The mailman arrived and I got my Whiteline Rear sway bar yay. I am awaiting for my other bits.

Oh mint, please buy that ZR and come cruising lol. The lift is good fun, especially when you do the intake and exhaust, its a lot louder. Thanks for the compliments. The TRD/Sportivo kit should be on the way in the next few weeks which i'm super excited about. Its a factory Polyurthane kit so the fitment is perfect. Unfortunately they are king Springs lol but a very thoughtful friend was kind enough to give me the set so I was most grateful :) Eventually i'd love to put in some other springs but these are a huge headache to put in and they seem to do the job for now.

Once I bought King springs and the ones they gave me made it sit like a drag car (back waaay too high), I just find them either too stiff or too soft and they do sag unevenly over time :( ANYWAY Deposit paid, so we're picking it up tomorrow! :D Now gotta teach her to drive manual... LOL

that'll be a long cruise.... :P Looks good Adrian :) hopefully this car sticks :) from the pic, the carbon wrap looks good :) makes me jealous - I reckon carbon would look amazing for dash pieces. The DVD 7" unit still makes me frisky!!! Very tempted to drop some cash on an alpine unit...

Well I can finally vouch for the items that arrived at my door yesterday
I got a genuine trd set of Sideskirts, TRD Rear Lip and Trd Spoiler. They are all Polyurthane and genuine Toyota TRD items yay which I hear are very difficult to find.
They will need to be resprayed at some stage but its definitely a good start.
Luckily there are minimal holes required to be drilled which means that the car will still keep neat.
There are about 6-8 holes that need to be made for the rear valance to fit on the bumper, while there is only 1 self tapping screw per sideskirt required.
The spoiler should be able to hold no worries by just using the 4 factory bolts, while the trd instructions state that 3-4 additional holes be drilled out in place for more retaining bolts, not that i'll be going that fast but as they say safety first lol.

I couldn't resist waiting till the afternoon after work so I went in my lunch break back home and started unwrapping the bodykit. The kit was extremely well packaged. It took me a good 5-10 minutes to remove all the bubble wrap. A credit to the seller indeed :) The full package. Its a truely awesome sight. I've dream't of having an Action Package TRD Genuine bodykit since the first time I heard about them. I will be fitting the kit up tonight, its so fantastic that I have all the original bolts and clips required to mount the bodykit. Eventually I would like to get some new clips that hold the sideskirts to the side of the car as they were looking a bit old. So happy :)

Well its no denying that this weekend will be action packed and full of fun and games. Heres what i've got on the plans: Fit Rear Lip, Sideskirts and TRD spoiler I have all the bolts, screws and mounts to get everything done. I am somewhat tempted to remove the rear bumper to make There are indentations on the inside of the rear bumper which need to be drilled through, suprisingly the instructions from TRD state that I need to push a pin through from the inside of the bumper out, and then just drill it through with a drill stopped and a 8mm drill. I'll be finally tackling the job of doing some carbon fibre wrap on the bonnet. Its going to be great fun testing out my skills (or lack of) in the garage. I am really hoping for a good quality finish The Rear Sway Bar kit will be the next thing to battle, its quite easy to do but the only issue that would come up is that i'm not able to unbolt the exhaust as the muffler does not have any flanges that I could remove to access the heat shield in the way. I've been working on some plans for the car in the future too: Soonish: Carbon Fibre Wrap Bonnet Fit Full Bodykit (leave as black for now just for something different and to make sure everything fits on before having it resprayed) Machine Rotors and New Performance Pads Fit Rear Sway Bar A bit later on (1-2 months) Replace Shocks and Springs Get bodykit resprayed Buy a TRD Short Shifter Kit Front Strut Brace The Possibility Mods for Food for thought (these are only concepts for the bigger picture) PowerFC Higher Duration Cams Custom Intake Manifold Recaros and Seat Rails

I do have some big news, last night was a very busy day indeed. I felt like installing the kit and thats exactly what I did haha. I started at about 4:30 and finished at 11pm.Everything went very smoothly, the sideskirts literally clicked in place where the old side skirt rails used to be, the rear valance was probably the most frustrating not for being anything complex, but you basically need to find these holes in the inside skin of the bumper, mark them out and make a small pin hole through it. From here I would then find the indentation on the outside of the bumper skin and then drill through with the 3mm then 7mm. The instructions recommend making the hole an 8mm but I didn't see a need for it as the bolt fits through fine using a 7mm hole. For some reason one of the holes on the sideskirts does not line up with any panel on the wheel guard that I can drill into, I didn't exactly want to drill a new hole in the sideskirts asThe spoiler was a bit of a nightmare, I had to drill 4 12mm holes, which I did by stepping up slowly, 2 holes came up perfect but for some reason the other 2 (using the exact same method) didn't come out perfectly round. It still all bolts up fine and I coated the holes with some touch up paint to stop them from rusting. It didn't help that my drill ran out 1/2 way through doing the spoiler, but in the end all the holes lined up perfect and its all on now.I'm still on the hunt for a decent front lip, since i'm sporting a genuine Toyota kit i'm on a quest to find an original action package trd front lipI will be sure to take some better shots tomorrow but I could take 2 quick snaps before work: I wish I had my better camera today, I could have got some better shots. Then I took her for a walk in the car park :) I had fun chasing birds while she eyed off a few of the other Toyota's in the Car Park lol

I had a fantastic and a frustrating weekend in the one. I had 2 jobs I was hoping to get through this week, only 1 got done. I wanted to fit the rear sway bar and wrap the bonnet with carbon fibre vinyl. The rear sway bar went great, apart from having to take off the factory heat shield from where the original muffler was. I wrapped the sway bar with bubble wrap and tape to make sure it doesn't get scratched. It was a bit of a squeeze to get the bar in without dropping the muffler down. I did my usual safety things when jacking up the car which included the use of: 2 Car Stands2 Scissor Jacks2 tyres under the side rails I know its an absolute overkill but I think you can never be too safe. The bar went on nicely and the handling is superb now, the car handles like its on rails. The use of bubble wrap mean't that there wasn't a single scratch or mark on the sway bar which is always a good thing. I always seem to scratch them up when installing them in the past so I was very particular this time round. I can confidently say that doing the vinyl wrap on the Celica bonnet was one of the most frustrating annoying things i've ever done on a car. I ended up ripping it off the bonnet and crunching it all up into a ball, I did however salvage a bit of it to try out on the mirrors, it turned out alright but I still hate the stuff and will never use it again lol My Girl Friend saw I was very frustrated after so many hours working on the Wrap and not getting anywhere that she treated me with a small aerial for the roof off ebay and some new H7 Super White Headlights. How nice she is :)

I found another modification that I am super keen on, its expensive as all buggery but I think its pros greatly outweigh its coins (see what I did there? LOL) Its a DD Performance Research Intake Manifold with a Q45 Throttle body setup. The actual manifold is a work of art, with velocity polished stacks just after the runners (similar to the one you built cuts :)). In the videos i've seen so far the throttle response is amazing, and the note on the intake is so so awesome. The car should sound and pull even better with the cams and intake manifold, but i'll have to budget about 2k for those bits, which is the same as what the project MR2 would have cost a year in insurance and rego. The thing is a work of art: Heres 2 vids for anyone wanting to have a listen Throttle Blip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZwGgBBzr2Y Dyno Run with awesome intake sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd85z8DPhas There are some big numbers coming out of 2zzge's, one of which was running around 230whp which is pretty damn impressive.
