WTB: AW11 87/88/89 with rego (No longer required)
I have bought an AW11. No longer looking. Cheers Hi all, My daily driver is almost dead so I need a replacement. I'm thinking an AW11 would be the go. My preference would be a white/grey two tone but any colour would be okay i guess. Also prefer a NSW car with current rego but interstate cars okay if in good condition. Also don't care whether N/A or Supercharge. Apart from Just1n_Mc's AW11 he just listed, anything else out there atm? Budget is around 5K and ready to buy now. Cheers,

I have a really nice NA red Aus delivered 87 AW11 - new bearings, brakes (disks and rotars), all new bushes and ball joints - new exhaust, DVD/TV - not a single crack on dash. Everything is perfect in condition. Also has an electric sunroof. New 17" alloys with new tyres too - 5 months rego (QLD). Engine wise I have put a new HG on, new water pump, cam belt, irridium plugs,, overhauled dizzy, new accel cable, new cold start switch, new idle up valve (try to find new ones of these in AUS! ) Everything works on the car - I have replaced many things to bring it back to excellent condition. I am looking for a tad over the 5K mark though....

Yeah didn't really wanna spend 6K on that interstate one. It is nice though.
I've since bought another daily Camry as I ran out of time. Still keen for an AW tho

Hi, if ur interested in my AW11, pic r in the forsale section. Aw11 white, Up forsale is my beast that has only got 500kms since total rebuild. 335hp @ 18psi. More boost to go as have not gone back for dyno. Ran 11.8 @ 121mph @ WSID. The conversion is a 20v ported head on a supercharge block o-ringed, T3 KKK with external delta gate, 3" exhaust, Ivan tighe cams, stainless steel valves frm U.S.A, Forged pistons, Running a MR2 super charge LSD box, Ceramic clutch, Water intercooler with blitz blow off, Adjustable cam sprockets, Custom intake, Microtech Computer, Surge tank running 700hp bosch pump, Many other things done to engine etc, Spent approx $30,000 on engine gearbox setup over the years. Tuned by Tony Rigoli performance and performance works done by them from original design. Prefer NSW car.
Seems to be a few available atm but not in the best condition.

There is a nice looking supercharged aw11 in Suffolk park 2481 nsw for $3500 listed on 'gumtree' at the moment.It looks like it is worth checking out.
I will also reply to your PM a bit later when I have proper info to tell you but I thought this car was worth mentioning first.

Yeah I saw that $3500 one. You sure its a supercharged model?
Looks okay, possibly a little rough without the spoiler and other bits.
No hurry on the parts enquiry, the AW11 that stuff is for I may not end up buying. It has rust which i'm not too keen on.

I actually just bought that MR2 from Suffolk Park. It's not supercharged I'm afraid to say. From my inspection is has no to extremely little rust (I haven't found any yet). It was missing a few interior bits ie. steering column shroud, cd player shroud, b pillar plastic, but I've got all those on order so soon it should be all cleaned up. With a C-Pillar trim and a rear wing it'll be complete.
