Ahh you all have had exciting cars... 1. 1986 Honda Civic (crushed)- 1st car, when i ended up with several cars and work vans, was used as spare car till rego ran out, last day of rego did FWD skids till the clutch went, then it sat around for a while then i sold it to a tow truck which turned it into a cube, now it could be an I beam holding up a roof or a light pole 2. 1989 Toyota Mr2 SW20 (still have) - Still have, now race car 3. 2004 Ford BA Wagon (sold) - For work, sold about a year after i bought new work car 4. 2010 Ford FG XR50 Ute (still have)- For work, Basically an XR6 but upgraded interior, stereo, bigger wheels, has ZF 6speed auto instead of the 4 or 5 ect. modifications include canopy for that racer look, ladder racks as air splitters, shelfs to hold all my other mods and lots of weight ballasts in the rear for that perfect 20/80 weight distribution Other cars ive had full use but not owned include several Toyota hiace / liteace vans My passion is late 80 early 90 import jap cars, love them. exp ones ahead of there time, compare them to say a ford/holden at the time. + they all have that nice import jap late 80 early 90 car smell, not like a localy sold 20 year old car that stinks of cigarettes, BO or kids.

chase_d Still try and contemplate selling the CRX - but its by far one of the most fun cars to drive. Man I still want to buy a CRX, logic tells me otherwise but i still love them. I almost bought a mint SIR but decided on the MR2 instead, still want to buy one tho, but if i had the money i would buy another MR2 for club runs ect, or to finish the MR2 i already have, or buy a house, or pay tax, or a billion other things.... one day ill have a CRX! ahh i aim high!

As for me: 1) 1992 Toyota MR2 GTS Hardtop (sold waiting payment) 3 1/2 years of glorious midship ownership and will be very sorely missed. 2) ?? Not sure what to get next - S2000 or 06 STi but yet to test drive either to make up my mind. Going to buy a $hitter next and put around in that for a while so I can save up a half decent deposit and gives me time to find exactly what I want.

23 now, and had a couple cars. two of which i've had since 18, and a rotating third spot. couple parts cars i've killed in here aswell, but dont really count..? 1. 1995 Mazda MX6. V6, 4WS, manual, Silver. (6/05 - 4/06?) bought this at 17.5 (2005) to learn to drive in. it was absolutely immaculate, and a very good car, but never really loved it. just needed more than two seats, and planned on trading it in on an SW20 when i got my P's.. 2. 1987 Toyota MR2. little red! (~4/06 - ) not long after my 18th birthday.. shortly after i got my P's. :) funny i always wanted an SW20 bathurst, but got this. AW11's were a heap cheaper (than good SW's) at that time, so worth a look.. but absolutely fell in love with it the second i turned the wheel. still love it.. its rediculous. 3. 1976 Holden Monaro GTS4. (~9/06 - ) bought shortly after i bought the AW11, as something to tinker with. ground up resto over the next 4 years, and didnt get it back on the road again until 3/2010! huge project, but totally worth it. love this car - its just so different to drive than everything else these days.. 4. 1988 Nissan Skyline Silhouette. S3. Manual. (9/08 - early 09?) Another Project. bought it as a ****ter, and got it regoed. Then VLT T3 setup, VLT injectors, VLT Ecu, FMIC, 3" turbo-back, mini-spool. sold it to a mate. always had - and still have - a huge softspot for these cars. 5. 1987 AW11. aus-del, red, hardtop. (early 09) another Project. just had to save it! bought it, cleaned it up, sold it on. had a couple owners since afaik... 6. 2002 Subaru Outback. Limited. Manual. (3/09 - 11/10) modified it to full JDM Legacy Lancaster as soon as i bought it. was a really nice car, but never did much for me. had it as a inconspicuous 'daily', but barely drove it. 7. 1998 Mitsubishi Evo 5 GSR. (10/11 - JUST bought for ****s-and-giggles! doesn't really count since its on its way from Japan, but i technically own it..! its black, tidy, and im pretty excited to get it.. :P thats all. :)

The cars I own now is a much more exciting read than my past cars... I will not include my wrecks. :) Cars I've owned previously; - 1980 Chrysler/Mitsubishi GH Scorpion - first car, had it 4 years, loved it soo much. Would buy another if I had the room.
- 1984 Mitsubishi Starion - traded Scorpion for this bucket of crap, but I continually fixed it up and eventually retired it to scrap. It didn't put me off Starions either!
Cars I currently own; - 1982 Mitsubishi Starion - bought as project for a rally car. I got sidetracked and it never really got finished. Going to pull it apart.
- 1986 Mitsubishi Starion - Gorgeous Jap import spec, which is now For Sale. Still!
- 1986 Chrysler Conquest (Mitsubishi Starion w i d e b o d y ) - 325RWHP of laggy goodness. I'd sell it if I could get anywhere near what I've spent on it. I'll probably just keep it.
- 1993 Mitsubishi Lancer coupe - 1.8 litre, koni shocks, jamex springs, so much fun to drive and loved being pushed hard. Sold it, then bought it back to sell it, then get it back again. In bits.
- 1994 Toyota MR2 - I believe you're familiar with this... :)
- 1997 Nissan Stagea - Daily driver which doesn't get driven daily, and large object mover. I might sell this and buy an X-Trail. No Arty, I am not copying you! :)
- 2001 Proton Satria GTi - girlfriend's former daily driver, now on permanent loan to one of her friends.
- 2001 Proton Satria GTi - girlfriend's daily driver, and her track toy with Lotus handling goodness and a turbo!
Jay Morley, WA 1994 MR2 JDM turbo - The Mista2 2013 Holden Calais wagon - to carry stuff and peeps 1977 Toyota Crown - work in progress. S l o w l y ! !

Dr J, do you have shares in Mitsubishi/Chrysler?? You must have a very large garage, or converted your bedrooms to store cars. Either way, awesome!

Luckily, I don't have to store all of my cars myself. Both Protons, and the 1982 Starion are kept elsewhere. Otherwise, the others are stored at 'Tech Toyz HQ' which is my business premises in Morley. 3 of the cars listed above are for sale, with 2 more ready to be pulled apart. I need to downsize realistically...

1. 1985 ST162 Celica - total crapheap, learned to drive manual in it since my folks only had auto cars. SOLD. 2. 1988 AW11 MR2 - still have, spend most of my money on it. 3. 1991 AE92 Corolla - auto, carbed, very gay. SOLD 4. 1995 AE102 Corolla - very comfortable but soooooo boring. SOLD 5. 1996 EG Civic - D16 VTEC, bought for $800 with one years reg. Stripped it out and used as a daily. Fun car. Currently in the process of being turned into a drag car. 6. 1987 AW11 MR2 - pretty rough but it serves well as my current daily driver. 7. 2006 ACV40R Camry - bought it fairly cheap with the sole intention of selling it on for profit. SOLD 8. 1986 VL Commodore - bought with a cracked head, just fixing it up to sell.

I thought the D16 was a single cam unless you meant the B16? All you need is a K20/24 swap in a stripped EG and slicks and your well in the 12's.

Most people have had smaller cars their whole driving lives, I for the most part have not.... 1970 Mazda R100 - was joint owner with a mate in high school, we got our CAM's licences and did a bunch of hillclimb and motorkhana events. was a 10A rotary, with extended fuel bowls to stop fuel surge when getting chucked around, a second swaybar fitted to the front and a welded diff. Got passed on to our mates younger brother. 1973 XB fairmont coupe - bought this before i had my licence also, most of my school job money went into this thing. Mates dad retrimmed the interior in bone vinyl for me, sanded it back and sprayed it devil red, and the car came with convo wheels, had a reverse pattern c4 trans in it, a detroit locker, no power steering and a mild 302. Used to have to lift myself out of the seat to turn the wheel when parking. 1977 Valiant Charger - Bit off more than i could chew with this one. had some very rare parts in it, and had stripped it down to completely restore the car, but excess chassis rust and years of bodgey repairs put and end to this one as an apprentice mechanic, and was parted out after 6 months. Wish i had kept onto this car. 1992 Vp Calais - The token nugget box whilst i was an apprentice mechanic. This poor car copped a hiding and a half. Over my apprenticeship this car receive a stroker (4.2l v6) cam, headwork, vt brakes, self built manualised auto, tightened diff, complete suspension overhaul. Car was in an accident (my fault) and was parted out and sold. 1988 MR2 - Still own, bought it off an apprentice mechanic, and as such spent the first few years fixing things that were broken and not fixed properly. Still sorting through the car, and trying to develop a proper plan of attack for the car, have many parts waiting in the wings for this car, but no time to work on it, plus it serves as my daily.
'88 MR2 4AGTE W/ EFR6258 224.6KW @ 20PSI more to come......
