How do you get to the front parking light globes?
My LHF parking light is dim. Probably a dodgy glove. I thought it replace it, but does anyone know how to get to it? It's a 1997 SW20R. There is a panel under the bonnet that runs between the hadlights that I thought I'd have to remove, but those clips are weird. The clips have what looks like a phillips head but unscrewing them doesn't do much, and I wasn't sure that removing that panel would be the right thing anyway.

you need to put a small flat blade screw driver in between the indicator and the reflector to pry the reflector out first then there is a phillips screw holding the indicator on.

+1 I would suggest putting tape on the front lens and using 2 screwdrivers to lever it off. (see pic)

Or you could take the underbody panel off and reach up from underneath, that way you dont risk breaking stuff. Thats how I do mine but my panel was never on.

5SGTE Or you could take the underbody panel off You mean, jack up the car, remove the front wheel, remove the panel under the wheel arch, and then access the light assembly.

If you've got foglights/driving lights, you can also reach up to the globeholder from behind by removing the foglight. Only 2 screws.

As I said I didnt have the panels on so didnt even need to jack the car up... attaching my car with a screwdriver doesn't sound wise.

Thanks for the advice folks. I'll try getting my fingernails in to prize it off the front. Not going to use a lever; plastic gets brittle. If that doesn't work I'll do it the hard way.

It looks very simple, but each time I try to pop the reflector out the lug just doesn't want to separate from the grey plastic assembly. I can see it flexing a lot through the gap between the reflector and parker and I just don't want to break it. wasn't sure how flexible the plastic would be after 14 years so didn't push it too far.. Does anyone else's plastic backing flex a lot when they try to pop the reflector out? Apologies for the particl hijack to the OP.

Mine have always popped straight out, and I've been through 5 sets of indicators between my MR2s. You only need to pry a small gap, so you can grab both the lense/reflector and pull them out. You don't need to separate them. Keep them as one piece.
