Cheers mate! I want the mods to suit the age of the car as much as possible - I figure It's such an 80's car I might as well keep it that way. The Konis are great - the car no longer sags under acceleration, and going over bumps the rear end returns to correct height instead of wallowing around now - wonderful :) Took it for a drive earlier tonight down to Harry's Cafe De Wheels in Parra, the first time driving with the new wheels. Feels great, much more responsive with the better rubber and lighter tyres (probably also because the tyre pressures turn out to be about 60 Kpa higher than I had the stock teardrops) and the car feels a bit more go-karty (could simply be placebo effect though). They definately make less noise and have more grip than the old econo-tyres though. Only issue is that theres a bit of rubbing on the fronts - mainly the front right, but that looks like it's due to the plastic wheel arch liner being a bit bent out of shape in the first place, and it sits a bit closer to the tyre. I'll take some photos over the weekend with the new wheels, hopefully the fronts with the peeling paint don't look too daggy in sunlight.

looks fantastic. nice quality upgrades there! didnt realize the TRD springs lowered it so nicely! i thought they were 1.5" or so, but i'd lowered my car down 3-4" (no kidding!) to get it down to a similar height! get some pics of it up on the Watanabe's! 14x6 +40 - i had a set in the same sizes. :P still one of my favorite wheels for this chassis. with those whiteline endlinks, your best bet is to ditch them. afaik, they're as **** as they look - bush with a bolt through it is not a substitute for a ball-joint. I think there were a couple people whinge-ing about them in the AW11OA thread on Toymods. Balljoint-Balljoint universal end-links are cheap, or you could pay more for the nicer Whiteline universal ones.

Thanks, they're 205/60 R14, nice and chunky on the little 6" rims :) EDIT: sorry, they're 195, not 205

Bugger about the wheel, at least you noticed it. Get it checked out by a specialist, and fixed properly if possible. You don't want it failing at the wrong time.

Cheers guys, I'll be getting quotes on the rim this week, hopefully it won't be too bad - at least they were fairly cheap to begin with. I love the look of the car with the watanabes, and the crack doesn't look too bad, but safety first :) @ RdS: Yeah the flaps were only going to be off while I was painting them, but I quite like the look too...

Ok... It's been a while since my last update, to be honest I've been a bit distracted from the Adub recently, although I've a ccumulate a few parts to go on I just haven't had the time to do anything. - Original JDM Fog Lights. Need to be cleaned up, then fitted - Still haven't gotten the wheel fixed or painted (but was recommended a place who seem to be able to do wonders with alloy - a place at chipping norton, I'll be giving them a go when I get a chance). quoted 100-180, depending on damage and repainting, which seems fine to me. - New rotors from Dylan @ Gorilla industries, still not fitted - Bushing kit, most of which still isn't fitted Also had the horn decide to suddenly start working - constantly. while sitting in heavy traffic, queueing for the M4 on a very hot day... people around me weren't impressed. Plus, to take up even more of my time and money I went out and bought this: as a result, mr2 plans are on the backburner - apart from putting everything on the car that I've already bought, which should keep me busy for a few months :)

Awesome! Had a clubman (first car), it was 1 litre and stock, skinny wheels etc, and it was a LOT of fun. This must be a blast! Cant beat light weight for agility. Cheers
