A test done after having E85 sitting in the fuel tank for a year, with a year of use prior to that.

no apparent issues.
And that was full E85 too.

I most definitely think so. I have no AFR reading (yet), and have never had the car dyno'd... so i can't give any hard comparisons.
19psi is damn amazing anyway.

MuMan, you're running a gen 3 ecu, with an AFPR... what injectors and other mods?

it's sounds like i'm running a similar setup at the moment (apart from the AFPR sitting on the shelf)

It definitely won't hurt your rail or injectors. Well 1 or 2 fillups won't hurt anything, but prolonged use may shorten the pump life, certainly does on 100%, and I'd change the lines & filter anyway, if you decide to use it permanently.

Just on that storeage thing, something worth knowing-
if you happen to get water contamination in your tank (bad fuel whatever) if it's enough in volume, the Ethanol can drop out of solution in the 98 and combine with the water..you end up with a layer of Ethanol/H2O on the bottom of your tank. Probably usless info, but if it happens, drain the tank.. I don't think C2H6O + H2O would make for a good fuel!.

^ I'm on supra 550's, wolfkratz rail, walbro 255, aeromotive AFPR and of course gen3 ECU/ECU2> WB & data.  Oh, and a switched T-vis (slightly modified) that I think makes a (sizeable) difference with this 80/20, rather than deleting it completely.

Zmit -  not sure I follow.

Anyone on a gen2 ECU tried this yet? like to see the results...

I've been considering this, and I think the gen2 ECU would come alive, considering the maxed out values on the upper levels of the high boost map.
Although you'd probably need more E85 in the mix to make them usable. The drawback is the stock 440's being severely limited in power potential.
Possibly the best solution would be to go to a 50/50 mix with a set of 550's and AFPR, you'd need a bigger pump & rail though. And of course a MHG as you'd be running 16psi stock,
with a FCD.

MuManMost of it in AU comes from 3 domestic plants on the east coast, but it hasn't taken off nation wide just yet. Prior to that biodiesel and fuel ethernol was imported from Europe mostly, I think, so can't really say. E10 has just about replaced 91 unleaded completely, so I'd expect E85 will eventually replace premium fuels also..in time.
I think that might be the case with additatives, I've heard about issues with injector seals and fuel hoses also. AU is a big place, so by the time distribution
gets across the country to the various outlets, you'd expect oxygenating additives would be a requirement.

edit, what he said. this is the additive that ruins the fuel system>?

Oxygenating additives are normally added into bulk bio fuels that are imported into a country, or where long distance distribution  and lenghty storage periods are involved, to preserve the quality of the fuel.
I doubt very much that effects east coast production in AU., although WA might find some level of oxygenating agents in their bio fuels when the are released.
That's got what to do with what?..check the date.

Ruins what fuel system? Ethanol softens & swells untreated rubber hoses over time, and also effects pump seals..exactly what I've been tell you.
That was in relation to additional additives possibly accellerating the process.
What, are you guys joking?
