** Windscreen leaks and NEW WHEELS **
Weathers been wet and the rain heavy... windscreen starting leaking in a few small runs so removed one side of the A-pillar exterior trim and sill to get to the windscreen ext trim. cleaned and inspected was surprisingly okay :) layed down some fresh buytl on the edge (generous amounts!!!) and taped it for security as it dried. Tape removed...works! no leaks :)

Removed the front spoiler, not bad ;)

also

NEW WHEELS!!!
Dylan from Gorilla Industries hooked me up!!! Cheers Gorilla ;) get on em.
WORK Meister S1 - 2Piece

HOw did you take off the windscreen rubber? My is leaking also and holding water like a boat in the doors. All my trims need to be restuck down. Did you heat it up then peal it off? I have no idea how to do it

Noooo not cool! Filling with water..... Damn!!!
Easy job man all  did was:
> unscrew the A-pillar trim starting near the fender
> peel and lift the door sill rubber out of its alloy carriers - partly removing it
> unscrew the remaining A-pillar screws  from the alloy sill carrier (now visible because we partly removed the door sill rubber)
> unscrew the alloy sill carrier - unslot it towards the rear of the car if needed.
>>>
> follow the windscreen edge trim around to the B-pillar, wiggle and slide the radiused exterior finisher
> pull up and lift the long exterior finisher removing it and BAM!!! Your A-pillar trim can be removed and the windscreen edge lifted, it should pop straight up and out - or you can gently caress it out with flat plastic bicycle tyre levers! lol there flat and soft - wont damage anything. It just sits in there nested via some plastic locators which sink into the windscreen rubber gasket.
> clean it and check it and your ready to seal your windscreen!

** Give us a yell if you guys want a hand sealing the windscreen one weekend was easy enough only 1hour-2hour's to do a good job with everything layed out ready!

hahaha you crack me up man, hit us up if you want to fix it "san" sticky tape! i was tempted to just electrical tape it but the sun was out so made the most of it.
Jealous bout your tyre voucher man!!! Spot on caught the left rear lip and scored the tyre taking chunks....

Awesome hooked up rims Works 15x7 24offset's Needed tyres - felt pretty confident i could fit +10 aspect from the 195/45/15... ... ... ... 195/55/15

Bob Jane has a special on at the moment for Bridgestone Potenza RE002's 195/55/15 so went down and an hour later BAM!!! They were on.

Small problem... knew it when I saw it from afar... The profile was pretty big... my bad...

Still felt pretty okay it'd work, and to an extent they do (more so if the guards were rolled)
They do look pretty good though! Despite the increased ride height and its 4WD-esque looks!!! 222D!!!

They don't interfere clash at the front at all even whilst turning until the shock compress obviously.
The left rear for some reason suffered the worst rrrrrrrrrr

Scratched and violated the left rear only

Took chunks in places, not to deep

The other three tyres have "rub" marks

Gorillas good and Gorilla does Federal tyres...
Federal make a 195/45/15 in the 595

Been a while between posts.
- Cruised with RdS in the Yarra Valley. Awesome.
- Wheels sorted! black on black with red repro works decals
- Reached 190000kms
- Started blowing smoke under power
- Made leaner, also recommended using a thicker oil?!?
- Repped MR2's at JDMST lol - saw an AE111. (so thats how a 20v should look...)
- Might not be getting enough air. Want, no NEED to sort ITB's
- ADUB cruise to Sorrento. Awesome

Pics to prove it:

Strewth, if you lived in WA, I'd make you an instant offer on this thing. That engine and that car combined seriously gets my fizz gland going!

Haha, tongue extended! ;)
When I first heard about the engine on the later seasons of Initial D, I immediately wondered what it'd be like in an MR2, so seeing the combo actually made is very gratifying. :)

It has been WAY too long between updates... my bad this is whats happened.

- IMEC 35mm trumpets install
- O2 Sensor Replaced
- Wheel lip spraying (Thanks Dylan/Gorilla these wheels are awesome!)
- Breakdown (Rad hose adapter fail.)
- Interior tear down and clean
- Shifter mount spray
- Binnacle display freshen

Proof:

As it stands as of 13/02/2012 - hard parked at work.

IMEC 35mm trumpets install.

I dont drive it like this obviously. The ae111 airbox base plate is fitted between the trumpets and itbs. I do drive it without the airbox lid though. Its sounds mega 1980's awesome.

O2 Sensor replaced.

The O2 sensor was largely the reason the black soot was building up and for the beyond poor fuel economy. It was replaced with a genuine AE111 sensor. note the different length cord and the different size flange and locators.

Wheel lip spraying.

Finally got around to removing the black electrical tape (mwahahahaha) and sprayed the lips of the Work Miester S1's.

Breakdown (Rad hose adapter fail.)
So Emma had the ****s and burst a rad hose... on closer inspection it was only a matter of time as the adapter made on the fly with the install did NOT have a flange to stop the hoses from slipping..

Tabs / Flanges added.

Interior tear down and clean.

Shifter mount spray.

Binnacle display freshen.

Needed to be done  since day one has been sh#ting me ever since! (will update with an after photo)

also
Re-coloured / treated ALL exterior plastic trims, with black plastic re colour stuff.
Didn't take photos of the process but will take some of the "after" shots.

More soon, drive sooner.
