WRECKING 1990 Black MR2 Turbo GT Only 117,000kms Reconditioned engine
Hi boys,
Out at wakefield a few weeks ago, lost it and smashed into a tire wall at very high speed. Smashed in the passenger side and pushed in the B Pillar. Crash on the track so insurance was useless and worked it out with my panelbeater that it would be better to part the thing out with all the work I've done to it. Everything is up for grabs and I have a bunch of other parts that I haven't installed like a set of Tein Superstreets but before everyone starts asking me for the damn sunvisors, I want to get rid of the engine first to ensure the buyer has all the associated parts needed to do a replacement or conversion.
117,000 on the speedo. Engine was reconditioned at 98,000.
Please only engine enquiries for now. No request for other parts. Thanks

Bugger!
Which corner @ Wakefield did that to you? I didn't think there were any tyre walls that close to the track? Other than coming onto the main straight, I can't think of anything to hit there.

Ah it's kinda embarrassing to admit how I crashed. It was towards the end of the day and I was having a great run. In the zone and started to get a bit over confident and pushed it a bit too much. Lost it at turn 6. Crashed into the tire wall that was protecting the marshall station. Almost took that out as well but luckily the tire wall absorbed all the impact.

What did you have in mind for the complete motor?
And would you consider selling just the longblock??

thats unfortunate mate,
i actually almost did the same thing myself at wakefield. i missed the tyres where they keep the fire extinguishers by centimeters

Was thinking $4k but open to offers. Happy to ship at cost to other states. Wouldn't be interested in selling just the longblock. Would be a waste of a good engine. Much more worthwhile if you got an old engine and cleaned the longblock up. Big_Car_Killa
What did you have in mind for the complete motor?
And would you consider selling just the longblock??

Ok that makes me feel a bit less retarded. I couldn't believe I lost it on that corner especially in that way but what can you do. As the saying goes 5hit happens. Needed an excuse to get an RX7 anyways. sinbad
