Well it is that time of the year again......we are nearning the first round of the VHC.

Many of you have had a taste of Haunted Hills now is your chance to enter a real competition, as the first round is at Haunted Hills.

This year the Championship has 8 rounds at 6 different locations !!!

Round 1 : 29th January - Haunted Hills ( Saturday TWILIGHT meeting )
Round 2 : 27th February - Rob Roy
Round 3 : 3rd April - Mt Leura
Round 4 : 1st May - Phillip Island
Round 5 : 5th June - Ararat
Round 6 : 3rd July - DECA
Round 7 : 28th August - Haunted Hills
Round 8 : 18th September - Rob Roy

At this early stage there will be 2 MR2's competing during the Championship...so either ENTER yourself !!!....or come along and support the MR2 drivers out there.

Great, it will be nice to have another 2 along for those events !

Round 1 completed !!

What a great day for hillclimbing, with a few new lap records and close competition, all had a great time ( except those that hit an immovable object). There were 101 entries. The long conventional (clockwise) track was used.

The new series sponsor CSA Alloy Wheels were very happy with there involvement in the Championship and are looking forward to the rest of the season.

The MR2 Team presented 2 cars both having a great day.

Wayne Hunter SW20 Turbo (Gen3) '61.60' 4th in Class & 45th outright.

Wayne Walker AW11 N/A (16v) '60.62' 1st in Class & 34th outright.


Entries are open for round 2 at Rob Roy on 27th February

The only MR2 in attendance was mine.....this was disappointing but Brendon did turn up for a look.
 
I had the usual Honda S600 4age powered competition, unfortunately he got the better of me this meeting taking out the class win.

It was a wet miserable day at a miserable track......I was very glad to  get home !

Phillip Island Results Round 4 VHC
 
An overcast day with light drizzle at times, this meeting was run in the reverse direction with the 'climb' extended 500 metres, the general opinion on the day was it was a vast improvement on last year. There was a disappointing 64 entrants, this will be the last Island climb for several years, there is talk about either running Broadford again or using Haunted Hills in a new configuration
 
Only one MR2 competed my AW11 N/A.
