Picture from my 3SGTE powered AW11. My Wideband sensor is positioned in the bottom section of the dump pipe just before it joins the horizontal section that goes to the rear muffler. My thoughts at that time was, this seems a little bit close to the exit of the turbo. Sure enough it was, as logging at Wakefield park the WB sensor over heated and dropped out under full boost. I have since fitted a crude but simple heat sync (seen in this picture) which so far has cured the over heating and I now have WB air/fuel ratios under full boost to review. If you are not logging the kind of things that keep your engine out of danger under full load then you probably won't see the things that I know are important.

Sad to have to tell you but that bung is too close to the turbo. You can make up a heat shield to go under the WB sensor using some sheet aluminum.
Personally I don't see the problem. What do you mean exactly? Its the same setup I have on my turbos.

Carmikey Just curious are you logging your cars at Wakefield? Would be great to see some real time race track logs from anyone. Great learning experience. Anybody doing this kind of thing?

I have mine close to the end of the dump pipe away from the fires of hell.

No logging. But my mistake, mine is also located at the end of the dump pipe as Glenns has stated.

As kojab states. Wideband sensor needs to be down the other end of dump pipe. Tried mine near turbine end and it wasn't happy.

I pulled out the accelerator cable and had the cable replaced (it was frayed at the throttle body). Put that back in on Sunday and went for a little drive. Running well but has a small oil leak. I broke the clip that holds the cable to the firewall just behind the intercooler, if anyone wants to save me searching for the part number and let me know it that would be AMAZING!. Working on the car in the storage shed is a nightmare so not much will be done for a few months, but sadly it hasn't stopped me ordering parts.

New ceramic coated Berk dump turned up yesterday. Now I can swap out the one in the car and not have to worry about welding a new bung in.

And this part will either go on my car or into my superannuation the way they are being priced:

I went to pull the car out of the storage shed to finish up the last few things that was leaving it laid up. To my great surprise I found I have let the club permit expire. That means I need to organise another RWC and get a new permit. Not too bad, but a few things to fix up: 1. Work out why the battery light is on and fix that (I think it's the terminals aren't connected properly cause I just pop it on and off when I store it). 2. Work out why the ABS light is on. I've got a bad feeling it might be one of the rear senders I pulled off. $350 for a paid of second hand senders makes me really hope it's not the case. 3. Go through all my boxes to try and find the battery clamp or just fashion something dodgy up. 4. Make a plate to cover the BOV. Or buy a plumb back one. 5. Get a cat welded into the midpipe. 6. Disconnect boost controller. I think that should get it across the line.
