Intake and fuel rail in:

Ordered new shims, once they arrive its full steam ahead.

While I wait I've got the brake lines disconnected so I can put the new lines in.

Be very careful when fitting the clips to secure those lines to the strut. The PLASTIC ferrule is rubbish.

Are you talking about the elec cables running over the strut tower?

NO. The flexible brake lines. Those ones in your photo above described as brake lines.
They have a crappy plastic ferrule that the C clip slides into and the plastic is rubbish. Piss poor design.
Should be all steel construction. It is a brake component!!. Might be important at some time maybe ??

Ahh yup, that makes more sense, I was pretty confused. Thanks for the heads up.

Air intake back in, the old mount doesn't fit with the stoney pipe so I'll need to try and fab something up. Until then its JDM spec

After a lot of messing around we got the timing belt on:

Went to put the cam cover back on and realised I got a gen 3 gasket:

Ordered the right one (and a bunch of screws/grommets) from Partsouq, should be here before the weekend.

Not to much of a change, mostly just reconnecting everything. Ordered a new crank bolt from Toyota so have to wait on that and having a nightmare getting the drivers side engine mount bracket back in.
