Couple of questions, if you have time. Are you decoding/timing the stock ECU ignition signal, or using the CAS/Cam angle sensor to drive a standalone ign module? I see from the serial interface cable it's programable..software? or is that for data-logging? just a few specs on what it can do would be great.
The oem ignition signal is distributed, im basically not touching it. I use the CAS signal to make it go to the right coil. I use the serial cable just because it was the right amount of pins and easy to get. My circuit resets itself every 4th spark event and in case of a missed reset signal the circuit resets itself instead as an extra safety :) Regards Jimmy

You want it sent directly or through luan? in case you want it directly ill find out what the shipping will be for 2 units, probably a bit more but not twice the shipping cost.

Ive decided to ship all kits directly to the customer instead. Ive been looking at shipping prices and it basically doesn't get any cheaper to have many kits sent at ones. At best it will be 10 usd cheaper and then you have to have it shipped from luan to you or picked up.
I will lower the tracked shipping to 20 USD and remove the untracked shipping method. This should feel safer for everyone. To have 2 kits shipped with tracking will be a total of 25 USD.
Is this ok with everyone? I hope so :)
Sorry for the mess but I dont think i thought this through before posting. I will update the first post with this info and also make a list where you can see who have paid etc..
Regards Jimmy

Jimmy - I might just get Darrens and mine shipped separately to two different addresses only due to the fact that we have had problems with customs before getting two of everything.
I'll be transferring 2x $270 USD into your account this evening. When can we expect these to arrive?
Regards,
Dustin

Thanks Dustin! :)
At first i said i will ship every kit after the group buy ends (1 month group buy) But i might just as well send it as soon as i got the final part for the kits as 1 week has already gone by. Allow 1 week before i send it. Ill keep you all updated and give tracking number as soon as i send it. Ok?

I updated the first post with a picture of what the Coil harness should look like. So not all of you have to ask me if you have the right one :)
Another thing I should add is that in my first post I wrote that it should work on stock gen3 ecus. Why i expressed myself like that is because the coils are fully charged at around 2.9-3.1 ms of dwell depending on battery voltage and the stock ecu (and also pfc if you dont have a datalogit) will overcharge the coils below 7000-8000 rpm, and maybe undercharge the coils above (also depending on battery voltage). Now even though i dont think this should be a problem i just wanted you to know this technical bit. Ive idled a spare set of coils i had for 15 minutes, and they were not overheated nor did they burn up etc.. I think its safe because as its sequential ignition, the coils have a very long rest between each charge event and the higher the rpm the closer to the right dwell it gets = no extra heat generation from overcharge.

Jimmy. I will test the gen 3 dwelling if someone wants me to test it. Tho I think everyone buying this setup has a PFC anyway.

Well, it would still be gen3 dwelling if dont have a datalogit or similar that can change the dwell :) If the weather allows i can try it to, but right now the temperature is startin to go below 0.. can get slippery and dont want to hit a tree again hehe
Luan: are you still testing 0.9 mm gap? or have you gone back to stock or smaller?

Sorry for not getting back to you but it seems like the quote on the distributor covers will take a bit longer. The guy we asked about manufacturing the covers said it will probably be better if he talked to another guy that does cnc or something like that and i havnt heard anything from him yet, i will ask him again next week.
Totenkopf: have you done any more research about making covers, i think you mentioned something about it earlier in this thread.
Then about the gen3 dwell times. I have been driving my coils + a spare set of mitsubishi (yamaha) coils for about 20 min each. Nothing happend to them so i can say that they will not short out or anything from driving them at gen3 dwell times. But i can not guarantee that they will last as long as coils that use the proper dwell times will.
So an update on the pay list: madmr2 (paid) mister_two (paid) MR11GT (pending)
