fuel consumption
hey all am new to the forum, just bought my first mr2 been eyeing them off for a while now! was wondering how much you guys get for a tank? not sure what is normal but mine is more hungry than my four litre six!
i get 400ks per tank if driving economically, running on 98 octane. mods include T28, 3in exhaust, afm comp, massive pod filter etc.

I generally get about 400km if i run it down to the quarter mark with 50/50 highway/city and occasionally booting it. Could probably reach 480 before the light comes on. 92 turbs w/ exhaust

Hm interesting... am not that far off avg then. I wonder if it would improve with the injectors re-calibrated? I guess it is always gonna be a bit of a compromise with performance against efficiency though...
@dudeman what mods are you running on your mr2 and Is it na?

if your worried about fuel economy, buy a different car.
The diff between 350 and 500km in a tank of fuel is really only a couple of bucks. if its enough to concern you now you're in for a right shock when you need to do any repairs/servicing.

+ 1 Exactly. My car runs rich as a beach and fuel economy is like a big six around town...the fun is worth the $$. Thats why I ride a motorbike (250cc/4 cylinder, 19,000 rpm) that does about 2.5-3.0 l/100 kms - no car is gonna beat that hahaha [:p]

320km FTW!!! That's if I'm lucky. Not highway driving, although I'm not nanny driver. That's from 36L though (my tank is smaller for some reason - NFI why).
I fill up 2 notches from empty (before the warning light). So basically 11.25L/100km

It's a tiny orange LED at the bottom of the fuel gauge.
